yea our mega event was packed and i just got the email about yours and yours is gonna be hella packed as well. your lucky you will actually be getting prime minister ariel sharon speaking to you, we only got the vice prime minister. the singing and dancing acts are really good. aww im so jealous i wanna go back. the clubs there are fun too... hehe once again have a fabulous time!

I am back from Shorashim's Israel birthright program. This trip was like nothing I have ever experienced. It was incredible. Roseactress, I just noticed your avator now that I'm back. I went to one of those coffee shops too. Mocha coffee mmmmmm... It definitely beats starbucks. Well the mega event had 5,000 birthright participants. The prime minister never showed, but that's ok the event was spectacular. We had Israelis with us all of the 10 days. Traveling along with them added a lot to the meaningfulness of the trip. There is so much I can say. I know roseactress wants to hear about the trip but if anyone else is interested feel free to PM me. Every Jewish teen should take advantage of this gift.

I'm going with Hillel but on the National Explorer trip. I'm kind of nervous because I don't know anyone else going but I hear that you make friends quite quickly. After all, you need something to do on that long plane ride! re: Birthright

I'm so jealous....you're going to have the BEST time and make friends very quickly!! And Israel is gorgeous. I was born and raised in Tel Aviv and actually just moved to the states a few months ago - I miss Israel terribly, but this move is only for two years and then I'm going back!!

Hey all. Sorry for bumping again. If anyone has gone recently and wants to share some experiences (and tips on what to bring, etc.), I'd love to hear!!! You can either post it on here or PM me.

I leave in August and while I'm excited, I'm quite nervous, partly because I don't know anyone who is going, also safety concerns (which I hear is basically NOTHING to worry about), and also because I just....don't know what to expect.

All I hear though is, "It's a once in a lifetime, AMAZING experience." I suppose that SHOULD calm my fears somewhat...

I'm leaving tomorrow!!!! Flight is at 4:00pm local time but I have to get there at 12:00 noon.

I land at 9:35am Israel time.

I pray I sleep on the plane!!!
