Me and my friend want to do a comedic duet for a showcase. We need a girl/girl duet that would work for a black girl and a white girl so no sister or mother daughter stuff would work. Anything you could think of would be really appreciated!
thanks
"Marry the Man Today" from Guys and Dolls immediately pops to mind.
There's a hilarious Alan Menken duet from Personals called "I Could Always Go To You" about two best friends.

Take me or leave me?
"Single Man Drought" from " I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change". There's a video on youtube. It's a great song! Please check it out! By the way- if that's you on your avatar then you are absolutely gorgeous! Good luck!
Go all out and do an arrangement of Black Boys and White Boys from Hair.
Thanks so much guys, those are all really good ideas I'm going to look them all up on youtube right now, well the ones I don't know already...and supportivemom that is me thank you, you are so sweet :)
this is exactly what you WEREN'T asking for, taken to another level, which is what makes it funny: "I Will Never Leave You" from SIDESHOW. Just a thought.
Well...not to sound preachy or anything, but this is theatre, race differences shouldn't matter at all in this sort of thing.
But I digress...Here are a few:
Bosom Buddies - Mame (Jerry Herman)
There's Always a Woman - Anyone Can Whistle (Sondheim)
My Best Friend - The Wild Party (LaChiusa)
They all have the same theme, but are all great duets.
I would go with "There's Always a Woman" as Larcen26 mentioned.
mmm. My school's doing spitfire next year. So excited!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

Ooh, you could do Secondary Characters from [tos] if you find a way to end it. Other duets that come to mind are For Good, What is this Feeling, I Know Him so Well, and any of the numerous duets from Chicago. If you search the forum, you'll find many threads on female duets.
