Their software does not load on macs. I will call them tomorrow. i don't want to be the jerk calling on thanksgiving.

I just spent another two hours on the phone because my 3rd replacement isn't working either.

I asked to speak to a supervisor (none on duty) so they will call me back tomorrow.

I'm demanding they send me aStorm or cancel my contract.

This is a *u*king joke. I spend more time on the phone with them than anyone.

Just got off the phone with Verizon. They are taking mine back. Trading it in for the curve. I had to argue with them but they waived their restocking charge. What a terrible disapointment. The Storm was just a nightmare.

Jeez you guys. After the famously rocky first sale day for the iPhone 3G, Apple gave three bonus months of free over the air syncing (the MobileMe program) for us being good sports.

And it's been smooth sailing ever since.

I pay $29.00 a month for Verizon .Unlimited use on everything and free phone with my companies corporate discount). So I am very happy about sticking with Verizon and getting a Blackberry. Just not the storm.

Cellphones are not on the list of things I will defend.

Thanks for the up-date, DAME. I too have a company plan on Verizon, so iPhone is out of the question.

My dream of a reasonable quality camera on a phone remains a dream, I guess. I'm now looking at the LG Voyager which has a 2.0 megapixel camera, with a touch screen front that opens to a qwert keyboard inside. They have a Black Friday special for $79.
The price is not the real issue, I just want a "user friendly" machine.

I have a 2.0 camera on my Motorola Rapture, but texting is a bear on it. The picture is only OK at best.

Have you looked into the blackberry curve? It seems to be like the storm but without the touchscreen drama.

Sorry, Diva. I HAVE been reading this thread since the start, but today I only read the most recent posts that I'd missed. I forgot you were talking about the Curve. (My memory is quite faulty lately.)

Thank you for reminding me though. As you might have assessed, I am in the market for a new cell phone/PDA. I have gotten help from people on the board in the past, and I haven't been disappointed, but it's now time to replace my current device, so I'm looking to upgrade. Any advice you can offer is much appreciated. (If you don't want to take this thread off-topic, you can PM or email me. I want to know as much as possible before visiting my Verizon Store. Thanks.)

Well, I'm still waiting for a Supervisor to call me. When I re-booted it last night, I asked the operator if they has sent me a used Curve. He called them 'refurbished'

I said, I paid full price for a new one, so I want a new one. Not one that didn't work for someone else.

Hmm. Cnet gives the curve a good review and the storm kind of a bad one. Are the problems you are having with the network or the phone?

I just got off the phone with a Super, and she's sending me a BRAND NEW one.

That'll make 4 replacements in 5 months.

The computer was bought in April, and it hasn't given me any problems.

Humor me...deleate the program in your computer and re install it. Also.. you on a mac or pc?
