cturtle, I sort of thought the same thing at first -- I knew that the shirt underneath was Ennis' shirt, but I thought that the blood was on Jack's because it was the shirt he was wearing when he died. I thought maybe his parents got it from Texas, and mistook Ennis' shirt for another one of Jack's, so they put them on the same hanger.
Then, I realized that wasn't right. 
And my way wasn't nearly as romantic as what it really was!
