Bob Novak diagnosed with brain tumor

Novak became ill yesterday and was taken to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Not too many details available.

OK - I will rephrase ...

Though I disagree with this man and his politics, and believe that he has added little value to the world, I would honestly wish this on no one. He must have friends and family, and I would not want them to have to go through the hell that this can be.

So, whatever the diagnosis, I hope he recovers, and finds some peace in his life.

I find the man to be somewhat hateful and callous, and a tool of the Bush Administration. I find him intellectually dishonest.

He willingly participated in the outing of a CIA Agent. I have seen him speak in person, and found him to be rather unpleasant, arrogant and someone with little or no honor. I do not think his actions have made this world a better place.

If you find my opinion to be callus and harsh, so be it. Hateful, no. I do not hate the man, but I despise everything he stands for. I am usually pretty forgiving of people and their actions, but from all appearances (and I could be wrong) he has only served his interests an no other.

I do hope he recovers, because no one deserves the kind of pain and suffering this can cause, but I firmly believe that sometimes, what comes around, goes around.

I find using the phrase "what comes around, goes around" with respect to a brain tumor to be callous and hateful. That sounds an awful lot like the logic homophobes used when the AIDS epidemic started.

Sorry papa, I have been having a bad last few days, and perhaps with a little bit of perspective, I will regret the comment. Right now, I don't. But honestly, when I heard the news, it was the first thing that popped into my mind.

Although I disagree with him on just about everything (if not everything), I met him a few years ago at the Gridiron Dinner, and he's actually very sweet. We might not like their "performance personae," but in real life, they are often quite different.

I agree with Joe. No one deserves a brain tumor.

I see Roscoe is not a big believer in the "compassion" of democrats. Having just lost a sister to a brain tumor, your remarks are a bit much - even for you.

I agree with the last poster that no one should get one . You apparently believe anyone who disagrees with your views deserves one

What a sad & hateful individual you must be. Hopefully, you or a loved one will not have to deal with this.

liberals only have compassion for welfare mothers who mooch off the system. they don't care about hard workers like Novak. At least Novak can afford to get sick because he has health insurance because he EARNED it, not because the nanny state thinks it is RIGHT to have healthcare.

Or deal with someone plowing into you with a car, leaving you splayed across the windshield as they attempt to drive away as if nothing happened.

And then having to live with a system that gives that person a 50 dollar slap on the wrist, and allows them to go about their business.

or have to deal with someone driving drunk off a bridge with someone you love in the car and then leaving thenm to suffocate - not drown - trapped underwater in the car because they were scared to tell anyone until they checked with their family lawyers and sobered up.

Mr. Roxy, I am sorry for your loss. That said, I'm not seeing that anything I said was particularly harsh. Perhaps you're a little too close to the issue to have much perspective on the issue.

As much as I disagree with him, my prayers go out to Bob Novac and his family. A friend of mine, probably one of the best art dealers in Santa Fe, died of it two years ago. It is truly an awful way to go.

yup same one....I don't wish a brain tumor on anyone but he did hit a man with his car and drove away leaving him in the middle of the street and then when asked about it said he didn't realize he hurt him that bad...no matter what someone did or how they helped blow a CIA agent cover or their political beliefs they don't deserve a brain tumor

I do find this to be sad. I hate the man with a bitter passion. However, I don't wish a brain tumor on him or anyone regardless about how I feel.

I can't not hear his name and not thing of the old Daily Show segment. "Bob Novak's Douche Bag Move of The Week." This was done on the Daily Show every so often after he STUPIDLY outed the CIA agent.

Novak is retiring immedaitely. His prognosis is described as "dire":
