Peach--The Talisman is one of my favorite books. It is kind of hard to get into at first, but keep at it. I promise you won't be sorry.

I just picked up The Black House today and I am looking forward to reading it.

I haven't read The Cell yet, but my wife did and she loved it, except for the end she said.

I couldn't get through The Talisman either but I should read it because I loved Eyes of the Dragon and The Dark Tower series.

I think The Shining is Stephen King's scariest book but I remember Pet Semetary (not a misspelling) scared the hell out of me when I read it. Also Desperation.

Another really scary Japanese movie is Kairo, which was remade into a really terrible American movie called Pulse.

Oh and for non-fiction:

Lobster Boy
Call Me Crazy
Hegemony or Survival

and my favorite

In Search of the Birth of Jesus: The Real Journey of the Magi

Usually though if you see me anything non-fiction, it's a cookbook. I have a massive collection.

Joey--Yes, try to read The Talisman again. Once Jack gets to the "Territories," it starts to pick up and just speeds on by.
