If the lengths of AC and BC are known, what is the length of AD, BD, and DC?

Length AC: 4
Length BC: 3

So length AB=sqrt(AC^2 + BC^2)

Length AB: 5

Determine the measure of angle, BAC

tan(BAC)=BC/AC
BAC=aTan(BC/AC)

BAC= 36.8699

Angle ACD=90-BAC

ACD=53.1301

sin(BAC)=CD/AC

CD=AC*(sin(BAC))

CD=2.4

AC^2=CD^2+AD^2

AD^2=AC^2-CD^2

AD=sqrt(ac^2-cd^2)

Ad= 3.2

db=ab-ad

DB= 1.8

When I was bored in high school and in the journalism building (which was, like, always, because I was yearbook editor and wrote for the newspaper) I always played tetris or various other games at iambored.com. That was fun.

I'm good at trig, but bad at algebra.

Maybe that's because my trig teacher was a hottie and my algebra teacher was an old bat.
