Is this available on DVD? If not, any plans to do so?

I found that one of the cable channels I have runs reruns of it - I'm in my glory! This was one of the best shows on TV!

It was great up until they started to bring on random guest stars (Mini Me) and get rid of good characters, like Harry.

I do hope it comes out on DVD. I would definitely buy the first season at least.

I agree the first season was terrific, then if went way down hill. The Hook Lady was too much.

It would be wonderful if this were released on DVD after the way Fox just stopped it and never gave any kind of resolution. Boston Public was a brilliant show and it deserved better.

I'm also wondering why Picket Fences isn't out on DVD yet. What's taking so long?

I thought it was "smell this sock"? Whatever.

I liked the first two seasons, but after that it went downhill.

Perhaps the foot covering apparati varied from episode to episode, but I clearly remember at least one shoe.

Oh my god! I forgot about the shoe! You're right, Kringas, it was definitely a shoe. And I agree that the Hook Lady was the harbinger of doom for one of my favorite shows. My roommate at the time and I would always sit down every Monday for Boston Public and Ally McBeal, which came directly after.

Speaking of which, when will Ally come out on DVD? I need the season with Robert Downey, Jr. like I need food every day.

oh what a fun memory ... we used to use "smell my shoe" in college for all kinds of "you're pi$$ing me off!" moments :) I think the hook lady was the end of it for me ... and I liked the girl social studies teacher and Harry before they ruined that. Wasn't crazy about the girl sleeping with the teacher in the first year, either. (She's the same actress that is now playing an equally not so nice character on 7th heaven)

Hooray for cable reruns!

It was definitely shoe - I used to say it all the time! I LOVED Boston Public -- it seems like every show I really like (Arrested Development, Freaks and Geeks, Boston Public...) doesn't really "do it" for the American public.

Harry = what got me through 4 years of all-girl Catholic secondary education.
