What a thing to say. Parks belongs to a message board where he has familiarity with people who frequent that board. He runs into a problem and he has a question that he might get answered so he asks those people for help. Maybe he figures that instead of being caller number 54 in line on the phone and waiting to speak to someone he does not know he might get an answer here. Someone is surely lacking common sense and it's not Parks.
Ooooh! I guess I got schooled!
You're really reaching.

"If your network is not secured my a password, others can jump on your network and steal your bandwidth which can weaken you signal and cause it to drop from time to time."
This is what I asked in my post above.
Also, Tom, calling Mac or any other tech support isn't always the fastest and most reliable solution to a problem. Often you wait on hold for up to 45 minutes, then you get India. Then you start over, lol. When you finally get someone who understands the problem, they may or may not have the ability to help. Usually they put you on hold several times while they look it up in a book or ask someone else.
I often go through one possible solution after another with them, with no results. Sometimes it results in another problem. Sometimes I figure out the solution myself, and sometimes, another friend can help.
I find it's rare when tech support helps.
i rarely agree with pab on anything, and he's probably too nice to say it, but yeah, tom yer a blanking obnoxious ****e unworthy of the waste of characters this post will encompass.
I just called Apple Support and was connected to a technician in less than a minute. And the technician wasn't from India.

Thanks for the attack and the name calling, papalovesmambo. You're a real class act.

there was no attachment, moron.
Last time I called Apple tech support, it took me half an hour to get an actual person on the phone, and then I couldn't understand a thing he was saying.
So, yeah, sometimes asking other people is faster.
great, more name calling. fantastic. it was a typo. hardly makes me a moron.

yes, more namecalling it seems to be the appropriate response to dumbasses.
The thing is... I wasn't trying to argue with anyone. I was just trying to point out that there are easier ways to fix Parks problem. But someone had to get all up in arms because their ego got bruised, when I wasn't even talking about them or to them.
I guess a good rule of thumb around here is that if I think a thread is stupid to begin with I probably just shouldn't post in it.
