Trying to stay on topic- I totally agree with toocute and emcee...
You can't compare the two..you really never could. The only thing that they have in common is time period. One went on to do more commercial aspects while another went to the music. There is nothing right or wrong about either decision, they are just different.

As for George, once again Emcee is the voice of reason. No, George is not perfect, and no one is saying he is. But to put Madonna up on a soap box and declare her a saint is far beyond closed-minded.
And voiceanth, telling me that Madonna has a husband and two kids has nothing to do with success. My dad's married with five kids, does that make him a superstar? B!tching out celebrities for their personal lives makes you worse than the paparazzi, because the only ones worse than those prying into their lives are the ones who hear it and assume they know all about someone. Being a pop-guru for useless information like who married who doesn't make you any more intelligable than anyone here, it just makes your head bigger than it was. So what if Boy George is a dj now? Did it ever occur to you that maybe that's what he wants to do? He's happy doing it, so what the hell does it matter to you? You think people can't be successful without $650 million? By persuing a career as a dj, you can't say that George is looking for his next 15 minutes of fame. How much attention would he really get outside the club scene? The whole issue is that the madonna-ites don't like seeing the queen bee brought off her thrown. As for funny, your pompous, all-knowing snideness hardly constitutes a sense of humor.

He is writing this book not to tell a story but to bad mouth other much more succesful performers and OUT, let me repeat, that, OUT, a happily married man!
Other than that he's a great guy and should be allowed to do whatever he feels - it is free speech - let me see the day someone does this to Broadway figures and we will see the reaction!!
Otherwise, I wish him luck and the money and 15 minutes he so craves!
