I thank that will help you the most of anything. I saw it recently and I loved it! You'll have a great time performing this show! :)

It's probably one of the best "classic" shows. It has some really awesome music, especially for guys.
My school is also doing this show.
Our auditons are coming up next week.
I'm exicted for this.
1. Its my senior year musical.
2. The dreadful CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF will be over.
3. I'll no longer be a prompter!

irronically my friend's school is doing it too. Does anyone here go to Standley Lake HS? (you don't have to answer)
basically it is a love story about a boy who meets a girl who is living under a spell and he is engaged to a girl back home, but decides to come be with the girl and they live together.
that is a very brief version of the story.
Bahh, that's not irony. Sorry, that's one of my pet peeves. Perhaps "coincidentally."
Anyway, I really enjoyed the show when I saw it my freshman year. Hmm...they had bagpipes. I liked the bagpipes. =]
[Edit: I also remember that, when I saw it, the kid that sang "I'll Go Home to Bonnie Jean" was incredibly hilarious...not that this matters at all.]

sorry lovelyspotlight, you are right it's coincidentally. but how much dancing and singing is in the show, i have never seen it, i just know the story.
It's alright, Wardrobe. Like I said, just one of my pet peeves. =]
I remember there being LOTS of singing and dancing and big elaborate scenic backgrounds when I saw the show. And sheep. And bagpipes. And...lots of cool things.
So perhaps all the cool technical things affected me more than the actual performing? Not sure. But I remember lots of singing and dancing! Scottish singing and dancing, for that matter! =P

cool, well i hear there are kilts too!!
I just found out another school in my state is doing Brigadoon. Is this like West Side Story 10 years ago, or something? well Beauty and the Beast is like that too, i suppose.
Wardrobe, are from NEW JERSEY?
Cause that's where my school is.

Hah, it's also my senior show. I'm playing Fiona. I haven't listened to much of the soundtrack as of yet but I've read through the script, it certainly is an interesting world. I wonder how I'll grow attached to it as rehearsals go on...
Also I think I'm making my drama teacher order us a dialect cd so we don't embarrass ourselves too much ^_^;;;

THAT is a wonderful idea. =]
Good luck with it. I'm sure you'll perform wonderfully.

No i'm not from NJ, Standley Lake is in Colorado. But the dialect cd is a fantastic idea. do you think it would work for other shows like Guys & Dolls? and how would you get access to it?
I got cast as Andrew MacLaren.
Who did you get?
