Jak Malone as Mary Todd Lincoln

Jul 17, 2026 — 9:50:07 AM

Please! I'd absolutely LOVE that and he'd be so brilliant. I know the show tends to gear toward finding "names" for Mary but I would love to see him do it on Broadway. Although I'm sure it'd make more sense for him to do it on the West End.

Next for the Broadhurst

What should be up next for the Broadhurst is a refurb and updating of the seating. That place is such a dump.

Anyone seeing Disney's Latest Film?

Jul 10, 2026 — 12:21:23 PM

Jay Lerner-Z said: "I'd bet most of the people clicking on the thread knew exactly what it was referring to, which suggests some sort of understanding. Perhaps. Something... not good."I personally had no idea what to expect when I clicked on this thread. With how often bots and weirdly phrased things pop up here - it could have been literally anything. I wager that's a lower number of people than you seem to think. Ultimately, I think it was a weird choice of words for the topic at hand. You ...

Anyone seeing Disney's Latest Film?

Jul 10, 2026 — 12:16:08 PM

People are always so quick to critcize Disney for focusing on live actions and/or sequels, but then seldom support the original work they do put out. Elio being one of the most recent examples of this. But then they see the success of the Lilo and Stitch live action and/or Toy Stoy 5 and ultimately they decide to keep going down that route since the originals they do produce don't do well. Their next major original project is Hexed coming out this fall, so I'll be curious to see if people end...

Anyone seeing Disney's Latest Abortion?

Jul 10, 2026 — 12:02:48 PM

Jay Lerner-Z said: "Dunno. Language is funny. Words often lose meaning through usage totally unconnected to original usage."Sure, but in this case - it just doesn't actively fit what the topic at hand is? When words like flop or cash grab or similar words were right there. I fully support using aborition and having it not be a dirty word, but it just doesn't work here - in my opinion.

Anyone seeing Disney's Latest Abortion?

I get not being fond of the live action remakes, but there really wasn't a better word you could have used in the title of this thread? It doesn't even really make sense overall, but also it's kind of weird.

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 6/22/26

Jun 23, 2026 — 3:04:16 PM

^I would think &Juliet would wait to see how things go with Chrissy Metz and the return of Joey Fatone before making any major movements. I feel like &Juliet has so many options of people to pull from for future stunt casts that I feel like it'll hang on for a bit.

Who's taking Leading Actress in a Musical this year?

May 14, 2026 — 1:08:20 PM

I really loved Caissie when I saw her and I'll be thrilled if/when she does win, but I can't help but root for Christiani. She's been an underdog this entire season and I love what she brings to the character of Robin. The video of her reacting to her nomination and the subsequent video of her school director reacting to her nomination have absolutely hit me in the feels.

Just In Time 3.0 - Jeremy Jordan

May 4, 2026 — 5:50:37 PM

I saw the show on Saturday evening and loved what Jeremy brought to the role. I had seen the show previously with Groff who was also incredible but there was something about what Jeremy brought to the show and the "role" of Bobby that felt authentic to who we are shown he is in the context of the show. At the top of the show, Jeremy shares in his opening monologue that growing up he was incredibly shy and would walk around looking down at the ground rather than looking up at people. It wasn’t...

Operation Mincemeat or Titanique ?

May 4, 2026 — 5:38:15 PM

Operation Mincemeat is a show that will still be with you after you leave the theater. While I enjoyed Titanique when I saw it, Mincemeat is just on a whole other level.

Eugene O’Neil Theatre on fire!!

May 4, 2026 — 3:17:58 PM

I am so glad no one was hurt and I so hope the show is able to find a way to continue on despite the damage. I've not been to the show in awhile, but I will always hold a special place in my heart for it. I certainly hope this is not how the show closes as it deserves a real proper send off when it does eventually close.

Theatre Brochures, Beers and Tipping

Yazz - From what I've gathered from friends who have worked merch in the past - programs are expensive to produce and aren't always super popular [although I - like you - love a good souvenir program]. Sometimes they wait until about a year in to produce them, sometimes they wait until a tour launches, and sometimes they don't produce them at all. Roundabout has done programs in the past, but Rocky Horror is still pretty new, so it might take awhile. Same with Cats and Lost Boys. Keep an eye ...
