Not a whole lot. I haven't been around much lately.. Been busy with work, rehearsal and travel. And now I have a show opening on Saturday so I'm smack in the middle of hell week, things aren't going so well with that and I'm exhausted.

Jaily, it depends on your definition of inappropriate.. I personally find it inappropriate because I was not participating..

I'm good... it's been crazy this week (I already have 36 hours at work... and it's Wed. morning) and there's no end in sight. But it's cool... keeps me out of trouble.

Yup.. smack in the middle.. Load in hasn't been going so well.. There were problems with the hanging of set pieces, the carpenters hung a very large wall unit on the wrong batton line set and with the platforms already in place we couldn't fly it back in to stage level and change it over quickly. So we had two people hanging for dear life on the rail while a bunch of people slowly moved the wall up stage on line set while it was hanging and another one was gradually transfering weight from one line set to the other. In all that took about 90 minutes to move it upstage 8 inches. That was on Monday. Then they were working on another wall flat and it flipped in the air, quite literally, thankfully no one was hurt and the set piece didn't break. Then yesterday the carpenters put two walls up on the wrong side of the stage. Sop that had to be fixed. The scenic artist took creative liberties on some of the drops and pissed of the set designer. He also didn't follow the paint elevations so the set is WAY too light, and the set designer is now having to wash everything darker. To say the least it's been interesting.
Last night we were working on spacing and had two of the actors fall due to very large costumes and having to walk down stairs. Thankfully they are both ok. We also had two actors come with in 1/4 of and inch of falling into the orchestra pit. Oh and did I mention that the stage manager called off sick last night??
UGH!! I am sooo done with this show.

The last show I SMd for I was so sick during Hell Week. But I was there... away from the cast, but there. That's just ridiculous.

I guess my main frustration stems from the seemingly total lack of commitment from the staff.. The SM calls off during tech which is really unheard of, and tech started at 5 but one of the ASM's didn't show up until 8.. It's chaotic and annoying.. Maybe I'm just grumpy from exhaustion..
