The girl squinted, seeing if she could possibly recognize the figure on that lone corner, but to no avail. The figure did not move. A soft wind picked up, and blew the clock of the figure gently. the firgure remained hooded and shrouded in darkness.
Suddenly, it was three feet closer. The little girl blinked, wondering if this was a figment of her imagination, or a real threat. Suddenly, the shrouded figure was 5 more feet closer. The little girl could see the old, frayed cloak rippling in the wind as the figure moved closer to her.
I'm scared.. DON'T DIE LITTLE GIRL! BE BRAVE!

A large lump suddenly formed in the little girls throat. Sure, living onthe streets brought her many threats, but none as odd or mystifying as this. As the figure came closer and closer, instinct told the little girl to run. Run as fast as possible, away from here, and to not return. But fear or curiousity held her there.
The figure was standing next to her, as sudden as a lightbuld going off. The little girl jumped, but remained quite silent. She could hear the creatures ragged breathing as it loomed over her.
Should I go on?
Insomniak, how are you so fearless?
The creature made no further movement, and the little girl didn't either. For many moments, they stood there, in silence. the only sound that peirced the night was the creatures heavy gasps and the odd hooting of an owl.
The creature made a small move, and the little girl flinched. To her, the end was near. She had ignored instinct, and the God's were going to punish her. But then something happened that she did not expect.
Should I go on?

I'm not. I need someone to hold me... it's so dark out here... *holds head up* But I can do it. I can take care of myself.

I think the mysterious figure is Delphine, back to haunt me after what I ACCIDENTALLY did on the Adam thread.
"Help....me."
The creature gasped in between each word, as if it was difficult to say. His accent was odd to the little girl. Almost....alien to her.
His hand slowly moved to the inside of the cloak, and pulled away. When he pulled it away, the little girl saw a deep purple substance covering his hand.
Blood. He was bleeding purple blood.
*Hugs insomniak*

Wow, he needs more oxygen in his lungs. Blood goes blue and purple without it, that's bad for you. Red is healthy and full of good stuff. *thinks about it*
Is the mysterious figure a smoker?
The girl was so shocked at the sight of purple blood, she noticed almost nothing else. Like the fact that his hand was a deep maroon color, with 1 extra finger. She also did not look up, did not see the deep amber eyes peering into the darkness, although they were glazed with pain. She didn't notice his abnormally long face, or the lack of eyelashes.
She just knew she had to help him.

Delphie! I like it.
Delphie, now that we're friends...
*chuckles* Sum ,good guess, but no.
They ran down the empty sidewalk, into the dark alley the little girl called her home. She dove into her box, to find anything that could stop the bleeding. she didn't notice the ragged breathing had stopped, or the wide smile on the creatures long face. The little girl turned around, holding a ragged peice of blanket.
"This is all I have, but maybe-"
Her last sight of her lonely earth was the cement brick wall, as the creature grabbed her with unusually strong arms, picked her up, and swallowed her. Whole.
The creature sighed, licked his lips, and smiled contentedly. And he dissappered in a flash, to find another poor soul to feed on.
