Anyone have any ideas of what to do for a Broadway themed sweet 16?
What did you all do, if you did that?
My sister just had one in January. We had a Masquarade a la Phantom, did kareoke and danced.

oh that sounds like fun! i was originally thinking about doing a Masquerade but I wanted to honor a lot of musicals
You could do a "come as a broadway character," that could be cute.

For Broadway themed Bat mitzvahs that I've attended there has been ticket booths and candle lighting songs were songs from various shows. Each table was a different musical, huge marquee in the backdrop were just some other things.
Wouldn't it be cool if someone had people perform Willkommen in the beginning of the party to welcome everyone?
You could have a Wicked themed party! You can make it like the Ozdust Ballroom. That would be fun.

A Hairspray themed party would be cute, you know, Mama I'm A Big Girl Now, let's all grow up because we're 16 now type of thing. I don't know. Anything 60s, that would be pretty cool.
Or a Hair party.
I like the come dressed up as a Broadway character idea also! People would kill me if I made them do that though. Heh.

PLAYBILL
Hannah's
Sweet 16
lol and have some cool graphics but i love the ticket idea
I've thought a lot about having a broadway themed party for my sweet 16 since I'm turning 16 soon. But I think it would way to expensive for what I would want.

Super Sweet 16. MTV.
I wish they would pay for the stuff instead of just filming it, which is stupid. I would be on it if they offered to pay for everything. Haha.
I love all these ideas... anyone mind if I steal them for my party? (I turned 16 last Wednesday, but haven't had time for my party yet.)
Anyway, happy birthday Hannah! Hope your party's awesome, whatever happens.

Can I use these ideas for my sweet 16? I may have to go back 5 years or so but I can still do it- right?

You could do the tickets as invites, and then hand out "playbills" at the door. Put your picture on the cover, and inside a headshot and biography of the star (you)... You could also add a Broadway themed quiz in the playbill for people to fill out and maybe win a prize or something, or even better get poeple to bring baby pics a week before or so and set it up like the casts headshots and then have people guess who is who, you could also add wacky biographies for everyone...
Definitely Broadway karaoke, might be painful with some, but should be interesting...

SweetQ, just have a broadway themed 21st! It would be all the better because you can drink... woot! lol. It could be like a red-carpet after party or something. Oh now I'm jealous. lol.

RENTingFAME- the only problem: I am already 21. I will be 22 in August. And, the other problem is that I don't drink. Otherwise, it'd be a wonderful idea!
