Posted: 8/22/04 at 10:36pmWell sign me up. And I'll bring my friends from the board. We'll have enough for a parade. We all like parades, right???

Posted: 8/22/04 at 10:36pmEdited due to touchiness. Iw as trying to say something nice to Etoile, not something negative to everyone else. Updated On: 8/22/04 at 10:36 PM

Posted: 8/22/04 at 10:40pmThanks, Nina, you sure make the rest of us New Yorkers who weren't part of the "certain group by invitation" feel great! Why in heaven's name would you post that?

Thanks, honey. Some of us were pitching ideas about a time and place just earlier today. Should have sent you a PM.
And you do know that every time I see you name that Noel Coward song "Nina" runs through my head. But I suspect you would NEVER positively refuse to dance.
#32re: Broadwayworld Convention
Posted: 8/22/04 at 10:46pmNever, sweetie. I'm always ready to dance.

Posted: 8/22/04 at 10:47pmKeep your private get-togethers private and off the board, the way grownups do. We'll plan general get-togethers that everyone is invited to attend where everyone can see them. The rest of us are seriously not interested in what should be planned via pm. I feel like I'm back in high school!

Posted: 8/22/04 at 10:49pmThat's probably just where you belong then, in high school.

Oh heavens, someone just isn't a Mary Sunshine today. My now, didn't I explain just how remiss it was of me not to have sent Nina a PM? But after all the endless post of others planning their Friday night festivites, piano bar get togethers, group sex outings...well I just guess I got carried away by the joyful spirit of the board.
But I can understand how it might seem like high school at time. Though I prefer to think of it more as six grade. At least that seems the level of the bathroom and sex comments that pass for high wit humor.

That is a fabulous idea insomniak. Not living in New York definitely sucks. If I knew anything about computers, I would take it upon myself...

If I could figure out message board making, I would definetly create one for people like us, Kellie.

Posted: 8/22/04 at 11:12pmActually, Pol, I really am not that far away, its just being 14 I don't think my parents would approve of me meeting people from the internet. My mom is quite paranoid. I'm scared to even say hello to people from Glitter(Cheno fanclub) at her concert tomorrow, my mom would be like "WHO ARE THOSE PEOPLE?! YOUR NEVER GOING ONLINE AGAIN!!" then my life would be lost forever.

I would definitely go if I felt the need to really meet a specific person (I'm a bit shy) and if 5:00 wasn't my bedtime (just kidding- I don't know how everyone would feel with a 17 year old there).
But I've done the internet meeting up thing before. Generally, meeting a group of people from a message board is safer than just one or two people.

...i guess I can understand if parents won't let you come and I'm down with that...been there, done that...but if you COULD... :)
i'm just ranting...i'm really tired.

Posted: 8/22/04 at 11:17pmInsomniak, if starting a message board seems like too much of a project, you guys could at least start a thread just for yourselves. Robbiej started a thread for adults which became a place to share memories about the 70's and 80's by those of us who went through our childhoods then. It's become a place where the adults meet and chat every day. You could have a non NYers thread. It may turn out to be fun. Updated On: 8/22/04 at 11:17 PM

Posted: 8/22/04 at 11:18pmI know she is. I would never ever meet anyone from online unless I happened to come across them at a concert(a la the Cheno concert tomorrow night) or something and I know what they look like. I wouldn't like, meet a guy or something. Ugh, creepy..

So what happened to the plan for a BWW.com convention?
Would there be delegates?
