The Brokeback phenomenon continues!

It's now the #7 most popular gay movie ever: after The Birdcage, Interview with a Vampire (a gay movie?), The Talented Mr. Ripley, Philadelphia, In and Out, and The Crying Game. At the rate it's going, it seems pretty sure to make the top three!

I sort of expected it to be banned where I am, for some reason. But it's actually coming here. I'm planning on checking it out (although by now I probably know the story inside out thanks to you people ).

Dear Lord, is The Birdcage the most popular gay movie ever?
I believe that's in terms of box office gross, Popcultureboy.
Was another thread really necessary for this information? I'm really starting to hate this film and I loved it so much I've seen it multiple times.
I don't care what the terms are really. The fact that that hideous hideous HIDEOUS movie could be number one in terms of anything makes me a little sad.
Well, it's the film that, for the most part, inflicted that terror known as Nathan Lane on more than just the Broadway populace.
So I guess I see your point.
And that's not even in the top 10 of reasons why I hate this film. Imagine that.
Something to add, Luvtheemcee?
Sums it up. Don't eat me, I love Brokeback.
ETA -- OH! No. I think that's over. I've abandoned bigotry and taken the road to righteousness. That freak woudn't date me no matter how much I shrunk.
Wow. I hate you almost as much as I hate Sean Hayes.
Hold on. I'm not the one who hates Sean.
I hate jews.
Well, I hate singers.
I don't sing. Well, that's not true.
I just enjoy singalongs.
And Barbara Cook.
And Angela Lansbury.
Oh, I love all of the above almost as much as I hate jews.
And Raul Esparza.
I don't think we can be friends anymore.
That's because I'm a bigot, I think.
But, we do share a common love of Brokeback. That should be enough to bond us.
We used to share the love of bigotry, but I told you, I've changed my ways!
Perhaps we can bond over the movie. PERHAPS. But I think that you have to change your mind about
<---- him. Otherwise I can't be your friend. I'm an elitist, which is more fun than being a bigot.
As long as you can accept my homosexual male love for
<-------------- her
We'll get along just fine.

Welcome to the dark side, Em.
Sure. I believe in fence hopping.
Excellent.
As I am en elitist snob when it comes to "REAL" musical theatre actresses, I'm sure we can find common ground in our...elitism.
Good.
I.... like weird actors?
And gay cowboys. Not to stray from topic.
Sing, you're a man? And you're gay? Wow, you learn something every day.
I never said I was a man.
I never said I was gay.
I only said I had homosexual male love for
<------- her.
Well now I'm totally confused.
