Recently saw Bryan Adams concert with Pat Benatar as special guest and it was fantastic. Pat Benatar opened the concert and did 1 hour set (10 songs) and sounds great. I believe she is in her 70's. Her husband Neil Giraldo played guitar and he is really good. Bryan Adams opened his set on a "B" stage which was at the back end of the arena. He did two acoustic songs from that stage and then walked to main stage (flanked by security) to join his band and rock out. I thought that was such a great idea to give fans in the back of the arena a chance to see him up closer. He did two hour set which include hits like "Run to You", "Summer of 69" and "All for Love" and songs from his latest album "Roll with The Punches". When you entered the arena, you were given bracelet to wear which had light on it that flashed on and off during certain songs with different colors which was a neat visual.
A couple of things I really liked and other artists should think about doing. The ticket said showtime was 7:30pm and Pat Benatar hit the stage at exactly 7:30pm. No rock star BS of making the crowd wait forever for show to start. 30 minutes after Benatar was finished, Bryan Adams started his set list. As I mentioned above, loved the idea of starting the show at back end of the arena. While I understand it would be security nightmare for huge artist to do this, I think there are quite a few who could do it without a major hassle. Finally, ticket prices were reasonable and the price listed included fees.
