Buchanan jokes about Todd killing Levi

On MSNBC's Morning Joe, Pat Buchanan said that Todd Palin should take Levi down to the creek and hold his head under until the thrashing stops. Of course, the gang laughed it off, but is this 'humor' any less offensive than the Letterman jokes that got all the conservatives up in arms?
What's funny? What's offensive?

Well, I think Levi needs to come out with a public statement about this Buchanan comment- the outrage! Stage a protest outside his studios. Get supporters to call for his firing!

Buchanan actually wrote an article advocating that the GOP should play the race card often. He's advocating it in the Sotomayor hearings, and claiming that McCain would be President if he had played it.

He is scheduled to appear on Rachel Maddow's show tonight to discuss this.

I enjoy watching Pat and Rachel debate. Outwardly, they have a very interesting, respectful relationship. I'm sure she disgusts him personally, though. He's said a lot of vicious, horrible things about gay people.
