What television do you watch? I spend over 90 dollars a month for cable and decided it was too much to spend when the only tv I watched was HBO and NY1.
I downgraded my cable. Now I only have basic and NY1.
90 A MONTH FOR TV IS INSANE.
I didn't even have dvr.
PS I had HBO for Sex and The City and Rome but both are over.
NY1 AND 13 are all I need.
So long Lifetime! (I did watch Lifetime every now and then) Updated On: 8/18/07 at 09:51 PM

I don't have cable at all, ergo I get no reception even for local channels.
My tv is simply a monitor for my dvds.
I don't miss tv in the least.

I don't have cable either. Youtube basically serves me well.

I have cable. It's 65 bucks a month, but I have 800 something channels. I don't watch most of them, but it's either that or have the $20 package and only have like 15 channels.

My package was an old box with HBO FOR ALMOST 90 A MONTH.
I never watch tv except 13 and NY1 and I lived for HBO DURING ROME.
Today I gave it all up for basic and 36 a month.
No reason to pay for the other channels as I never watch them.

Yeah, I have the DVR in the living room and the digital cable box in the bedroom....

I do love my cable. The only things I watch on network TV are Grey's and Ugly Betty

I watch NY1 (ONSTAGE) AND THEATER TALK ON 13 when I am awake.
The rest of the time I am at the theater.
My rent went up a 100 a month so I got rid of the extras.
Sad but true.

I wish you could pick and choose the channels you want. I started with a big package, but found most of the channels useless, Basic Cable works well, but I wish it would have TCM.

I've never had cable, and thank God, because I think I would freak out with all those channels.

Half of the time there are never any good movies playing on those so called "good" channels. Any time I've wanted to watch HBO it's nothing special that I wanted to see.

It's harder if you live by yourself or just one roomie. But having a 4 bedroom, the bill gets divided by more people and works out. It's expensive. But I love my DVR. LOVE IT.

I have DirecTv, and I've always found it to be cheaper than cable and have a better selection as well.

I have a big cable package, which includes my home phone and internet. We pay about $150 per month, which covers the internet and phone. He have six TVs in the house, one of them hi-def, and on that TV we have hundreds of channels (lots of movie channels, lots of sports channel, lots of other channels I thought would be obscure but I now watch (trave channel, biography channel, additional history channels)).
