re: CARRIE UNDERWOOD IS THE AMERICAN IDOL '05!!

This just proves once and for all that America has no taste. First Bush, now this. What will we do!?

re: CARRIE UNDERWOOD IS THE AMERICAN IDOL '05!!

I think if it were just the judges, Paula, Randy, and Simon voting, Bo would have been the last one standing. Now I don't mean to make anyone mad by saying this. However I do believe its true. Since Paula adored Bo, and Randy also did. I do not think this season was at all fair. That and they need a new way of voting. This phone thing is quite shady in my book.

re: CARRIE UNDERWOOD IS THE AMERICAN IDOL '05!!

AS I stated in another thread, every time I saw her perform, Carrie sang flat, very pitchy and always off-key. American Idol is NOT a singing contest, its simply a popularity contest. If it were about the vocals, most of the contestants would have been booted during their original auditions.
"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

re: CARRIE UNDERWOOD IS THE AMERICAN IDOL '05!!

When it comes down to it, Carrie can sing and Bo cannot. So, the best singer won. re: CARRIE UNDERWOOD IS THE AMERICAN IDOL '05!! I'm happy for her! Let's hope she actually makes/sells/promotes an album unlike some of her predecessors!

re: CARRIE UNDERWOOD IS THE AMERICAN IDOL '05!!

I agree - I am soo happy she won, I think she "performs" better than Bo! (Thats most important to me personally)
When someone blunders, we say that he makes a misstep. Is it then not clear that all the ills of mankind, all the tragic misfortunes that fill our history books, all the political blunders, all the failures of the great leaders have arisen merely from a lack of skill in dancing. - Moliere

AMEN Redhot !!!!! All AI has turned into is a popularity contest.

They were both good, though Carrie's recent performances seemed strained -- vocally "tight" -- all coming from her throat. Any of you singers notice? Some of it was nerves, but my vocalist pals all said she demonstrates insufficient technique, not enough breath/support, that will have to be addressed sooner or later. It was obvious on Tuesday this week.

I thought they both did equally well.........and BRAVO Munk!

I stayed away from BWW last night because I knew that some jerk was going to post the results on a threads subject. But it still dos not change the fact that "Wickedrocks" is a **** ! ( I know this comment might get the thread deleated but you all know that is the truth) And to those of you that say "freedom of speach...blah, blah..... nothing wrong with posting the results... blah..blah" --- I have one question for you...Was it your upbringing that taught you to be so freaking inconsiderate?

Oh and desk diva;

You said "I think if it were just the judges, Paula, Randy, and Simon voting, Bo would have been the last one standing."
Maybe if you would have listened to the show last night you would have heard two of the judges saying Carrie should win.

For the record.. I liked both of them.

I personally like her. I think she'll grow.

Auggie: you're not alone. Not one of the singers last night sounded like they were anything but on the verge of total vocal collapse (even Bo).
BUt, let me point to the ONLY American Idol in my book: Kelly Clarkson.
By the time she won the 1st title, she could barely sing. Then they whisked her into the studio, off on a whirlwind swirl of photo ops and concerts and talk shows and she never recovered. She sounded HORRIBLE on almost every show I saw.
Then she went away for a spell. She has clearly studied vocally. She is sounding better, stronger, more secure, and vocally healthier than at any other time.
Good for her, I say. And hopefully, Carrie will immediately begin steps to care for her voice.

I watched last night, and while some of them are good I thought, these are the best 12 singers they could find out of all those people?

CARRIE UNDERWOOD IS THE AMERICAN IDOL '05!!

I love Carrie and I am so happy that she won but I hate that song "Inside Your Heaven." It's terrible. If they have any sense at all they will scrap it to a B-Side selection and make "Angels Brought Me Here" her first single.

directed at Munk after this statement

People - stop getting so pissed off to see that the winner has been posted here. It's been done before with other things - and the same "drama" has ensued. You know it's earlier here than there. You know people are going to write sh*t on a message board. Especially one you frequent so much - you know as soon as something is announced, someone posts it here. So no one "ruined" it for anyone else - just think beforehand

BULLCRAP, what a lame excuse for people NOT taking responsibility for their own actions.....It's called common courtesy for other BBW members.

Anyone posting an ending to anything without the words "spoiler" in the title IS RUINING for other people.
I should not have to not participate on the board for a night because some moron may post the ending of a show.......ridiculous. It's their responsibility to keep
their big mouths shut, and NOT ruin it for anyone, PERIOD.
People can write all the sh** they want, but putting SPOILER shows you at the very least respect your other BBW members.....not doing this is just damn rude, self-centered, and truly shows a persons character, or lack of it.

Trying to make people NOT in your time zones avert their eyes every night of the sweeps is just ridiculous, to to suggest it even more so.
It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story... AGATHA CHRISTIE, Life magazine, May 14, 1956

I am going to add to the voices that say DO NOT FREAKING PUT SPOILERS IN THE SUBJECT LINES!

There are people on the west coast
There are people who are recording the program--sometimes to watch later with their roommate or sig other when they get home from work.

DON'T BE AN ***HOLE.

I never click on a show or awards show thread until I have seen the episode. But, putting it in the thread title is WRONG WRONG WRONG

i am so thrilled for her! Since she sang "i can't make you love me" at her audition, i KNEW she'd make it till the end. I don't know if she will have as much staying power as Kelly Clarkson because of her genre type...Fantasia fizzled out as did Ruben.. but, time will tell and I really hope she does well. As for BO, I would not cry for him either because he was ALSO signed by the BIGGEST record producer in the biz.
#49

she needs a vocal coach to sustain?

well, I watched last night to see who would win, I watched the show only once before and here's what I think: (coming from a non-fan of AI)

I thought she was very good...but I liked Bo too. But, something tells me that either Bo is getting all the hits or they both will have hits

And WHOOOOOOOOOO was that girl with the short obviously-dyed blonde hair. And why do I think her name is like Makayla? Because I have major issues with her. Major issues.
