CATS DON'T DANCE - The Movie

I love this film. Great music by Randy Newman.

BIG AND LOUD!

Ya gotta be BIG and LO-UD!
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I love it too. I think it's cool.
I'm not a gay stereotype. I'm a coincidence.

I love how 1997 was "forever ago"... "The Aristocats" was forever ago... and still 1970 isn't really forever ago, but that was the one Disney made after an unsuccessful attempt to get the rights from T.S. Eliot to use his characters and poems for an animated film...

I FREAKING LOVE THIS MOVIE.
"The stage is where I live and come alive and act out all the things that go on in my life. It's not just what I do for a living, it's my shrink and my love affair. No one in my life has ever or ever will kiss me on the mouth like this lover called my relationship with my performance."

I don't WANT to live in what they call "a certain way." In the first place I'd be no good at it and besides that I don't want to be identified with any one class of people. I want to live every whichway, among all kinds---and know them---and understand them---and love them---THAT's what I want! - Philip Barry (Holiday)

re: CATS DON'T DANCE - The Movie

Watched this movie ALL the time when I was younger.

I've got rhythm
In my soul
Sometimes rhythm
Make me lose control
"One no longer loves one's insight enough once one communicates it."

The opposite of creation isn't war, it's stagnation.

I love the music from this movie!
"I never believed that there was a rainbow
With a pot of gold at the end
I'm much too smart for fairy tales like that
Yet here I am again
This time I thought 'This time we're gonna make it'
Why I thought so
I really don't know
maybe something in his eyes
just told me so
something in his eyes..."
