CCd/Itunes Problem, Please help.

I just got the cast recordings of The Drowsy Chaperone and Gypsy. I love them both, and would like to put them on my iPod. However, every time I put the CDs in the disc drive, thay do not show up on my computer or iTunes. Does anyone know why this is and how I can fix it?

Hmmm, that's really weird. Are other CDs working?

Well, I've tried West Side Story as well, and that won't show up either. I'm going to get another CD and see if that will work.

There might be a problem with your disc drive. I'd try restarting your computer and see if that helps.

I tried another CD and that did not work. I'll try restrating the computer.

I also have an iTunes problem:
I bought Tarzan off iTunes, but it won't let me put it on my iPod until I have the latest update. I've downloaded the latest update, but it still won't let me, and my iTunes appears to be just the same.
Anyone know what to do? Is there something I need to do to activate the update?

Did you try restarting your computer? I think sometimes you have to do that.

When you downloaded the updates, at one point did you try plugging your iPod into the wall?

what would plugging into the wall do?

I downloaded the update with itunes open and my ipod attached and then did tried it again with itunes closed and I've also restarted my computer...I can't figure out why my iTunes would recognize the upgrade?
