I've heard really amazing things about Circle in the Square Theater School. And if I decide to get my BFA, after I would be really interested in going if I feel I need it. I've heard great things about their acting department, but I really haven't heard anything about their dance or voice departments. Thoughts PLEASE?

I want to apologize for some offensive messages posted on this board under my name. The night 0f 12-15-08 I did not have internet access, and someone had used my name to post something offensive. My avatar was also changed. I dont' know what else was posted, or if anyone recieved bad PMs, but I want to apologize for that. I've changed my password, and even though I was not the one posting these messages it still needed to be corrected.

The focus is mainly on acting at that school, but they do have a good dance and vocal department. Even if your an acting student there you have to take Dance and Singing Interpretation. One of the dance teachers have taught or choreographed at Juilliard. When I went to the summer program I had never taken a dance lesson in my life and at the end of the 7 weeks I could do a clean double pirrouete. If you're a muiscal theatre student you also take tap which is a seperate dance class on your scheduale. The Singing Interpretation class is more of an audition technique class, but it really teaches you how to act through song. If you're a MT student you have to take Singing Technique and Music Theory. In your second year you also take MT Scene Study. The MT students get a showcase at the end of their two years.
