It was slightly anti-climatic, but I'm thrilled nonetheless.

Extremely gracious and sweet... and 10 times more handsome in person.

You may all now die of shock that I didn't jump him, pass out, ask him to sign a body part or father my children

Yeah really. There was these women behind me who didn't thrill him (I was first in line to sign/meet and whatnot) because as we were chatting and I was getting my camera ready they pushed in to take a picture with him.

Awwwe! I still need to SEE the show.... Thank god for friends with the hook up -- that's how I met him tonight.

Yes, the stage door was very crowded. It's set up with a line for people who saw the show and want him to sign playbills, and then a pen on the other side where they have all the people who just want to meet him. He will stay and sign for every single person in the playbill line.... but there's only a possibility he'll have the chance to get to the people in the pen.

He's very endearing though. I wish I'd had a chance to talk to him for more than a minute.

I have to tell you, it was somewhat disconcerting to have his 'fan base' scream and holler like they were in the fan section at the Oscars when he made his entrance - but they eventually settled down. He wasn't what I'd call great - kept slipping, unfortunately, into his 'day job' acting - but it was passable, and the evening DIDN'T put us to sleep like LEAR did last year.

And there WAS that chest beating and muscle pumping

I actually LIKED his naturalistic interpretation - it made Brutus less of the 'statue' he usually is. But I KNOW he could just sit there and staisfy your requirements - although certain movements may make it all the more worthwhile

I just said that it was a pleasure to meet him and that I was a huge fan.... I was first in line of at least 80 people. He thanked me and smiled. I asked if I could take a picture and he asked if I wanted to take it OF him or be in it, I said be in it, he said sure and as we went to take the picture, the woman behind me decided SHE was taking one first -- hence the look on his face in my picture lol
