I work at a theatre and have not heard one bad word about CLICK yet.
Nacho Libre is another story. As is Lake House.

Posted: 6/26/06 at 4:20pmClick was INFINITELY better than Nacho Libre! Then again, even if Click totally sucked it could have been better than NL. I actively disliked that movie - that hasn't happened to me in a while!

O'Doyles rule!
I liked the movie, but the part where he

Anyways.
The Lake House scares me beyond all reason. You canNOT drag me to that movie.

Posted: 6/26/06 at 5:08pmI'm almost curious about The Lakehouse just to find out what cheap scheme they use to explain away the time differnce. Not curious enough to go to the theater, mind you, but enough that it'll get on my Netflix queue eventually...

jasonf, let me tell you what scheme they used.
They DIDN'T.
They just didn't expalin it at all. Don't even order it from Netflix. I enjoyed the movie (but then again, I have a vicious crush on Keanu) but I don't think you would if that's the only reason you'd see it.

Posted: 6/26/06 at 7:03pmHmm - well, not really a fan of Keanu Reeves and of all the leading actresses out there, Sandra Bullock was one I never really got the appeal of. She's not THAT hot. Anyway, thanks for the warning...

Sometimes I wonder why actors choose roles.
And Nacho Libre is coming from the guy who did NAPOLEAN DYNAMITE. Do you need anymore reason NOT to see it?
(I HATED HATED HATED that crap movie. I couldn't get through the first five minutes.)

Posted: 6/26/06 at 7:20pmI really liked Click. Bal, I'm with you about that scene. I had a similar experience to it as well. Thankfully the outcome was different. I laughed, I cried, I enjoyed myself. I thought it was was a good movie. Not a cinematic masterpiece by any means, but entertaining.

Posted: 6/26/06 at 7:36pmI liked Napoleon Dynamite. A lot. I saw it before it became this huge deal and my friend and I were shocked at how funny we found it. I sort of expected the same thing with Nacho Libre....no such luck.

Aw, I read the spoiler. But that's my fault - I did it intentionally lol.
It looks like a good movie. I'm still interested in seeing it.

Napoleon Dynamite was, most definitely, one of the WORST movies I HAVE EVER SEEN.
And this is coming from someone who adores stupid comedies...I love Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler. But I had to turn Napoleon Dynamite off after fifteen minutes because it was literally giving me a headache.
I would never see Nacho Libre because of the ND factor and...well, besides Shallow Hal, which was passable, I'm honestly not much of a Jack Black person.
