I was forced to see this film and it turned out to be utter crap (Surprise surprise). Don't see it.

Couldn't be worse than Nacho Libre. Or, could it?

I talked to a couple people that REALLY liked it. But they actually got it. Hint-it isnt supposed to be a pure comedy. It is a movie with funny moments

And it HAS to be better than Nacho Libre

I didn't think it was that bad. I actually enjoyed it.

I actually thought it was cute!

But the dramatic moments were cheesy, over-done, and lame.

What were you expecting, though? Some sort of great cinematic achievement?

My expectations were zero and I was STILL dissappointed.

I liked it - it wasn't a pure comedy like I expected, but for what it was I thought it was a good movie.

The preview lasted too long for me.

I absolutely adored it. I thought it was fantastic, really great. Maybe you just don't get Adam Sandler.

I disagree with that statement. I believe Billy Madison is the perfect stupid comedy, a genre that is much maligned because it is so hard to succeed in. And Punch Drunk Love, of course, is fantasmic.

If you thought that Billy Madison was great then you must have gotten the O'Doyle in-joke in Click.

Billy Madison was my favorite Sandler movie before Click - I think this may take it's place. Is it a perfect movie? OF course not, but I was certainly entertained, and I liked that it wasn't just a stupid movie with no point like The Waterboy or Happy Gilmore (both of which I admit to finding funny)

Too bad for you that you didn't like Click, because I thought it was fantastic. I just thought it was a great movie to go see and I thought Adam Sandler did a great job in the movie. I didn't think the dramatic scenes were cheesy or dramatic at all. Also there were alot of funny moments in the movie too. To me, I'm not sure if anyone else was thinking about this, but I thought the movie also had a type of "It's a Wonderful Life" theme to it. I give the movie a 10 out of 10.

Cruel_Sandwich. you probably just weren't in a good mood when you went to go see it.

i had some problems with the tone overall and with some plot/scripting choices, but i found the performances to be really good...interesting casting overall and some good acting work. If you're a fan of anyone in the film, it's worth seeing...even those fans of actors beyond Sandler, like Julie Kavner, Henry Winkler, Walken, even Hasslehoff (he's a great sport here) or Kate Beckinsale. i did find the inclusion of the Jennifer Coolidge character really cliche, however. She just did her regular Coolidge, but if you enjoy that, then there's another reason to try it. Also, the production design is really interesting, with the flashbacks and forwards---good solid choices, not pushed to the point of over-the-top satire (though the light-up futuristic wedding dress was getting close to satirical). The make-up work, which i saw panned in one review, i found to be extraordinarily good.

Punk-Drunk Love is not that great of a movie. It's kinda mundane and boring to me. Click looks like a family movie. It's just meant to entertain. I'm not saying it's good - I have yet to see it - but it hasn't been getting good reviews.

My 12 year old step-son loved the movie if that tells you anything.

(and I HATED "Punch Drunk Love")
