I want to thank you, because I do tend to believe more what the media says than what I truly believe. However, I don't trust our government and the current adminstartion. I question every move that Geogre W. Bush and his flunkies make. I fear all the time that I'll be forced into a draft. I don't want to have to go to war for him. I refuse.

Yes they can stop it from being said.
It is called a delay or a dump button. It is used all the time when someone says something that is an "oopsie" on the radio, and usually the producer hits the button to make sure it does not go out on the air.
Many "live" TV shows have a delay as well to prevent certain words from being heard.

As far as I know, homosexuals can't volunteer, or be forced (via draft) into the army.
They'll have to change their policies first, which I doubt they will.
