They closed my school district tomorrow!! This is CRAZY -- all because of a little of fall of rain!

My area's actually doing pretty well this time. There's actually NO major flooding, and they are expecting all the creeks and rivers to stay within their banks. The last few times we've had a storm of this size, it's been absolutely devastating!

my dad's been out on calls all night... his fire department is right in the middle of a valley. so many flooded basements and in that town the only way to get your basement pumped is to call 911... it's crazy.

although some of them have actually been emergencies... the ones where the water was high enough to hit power outlets.

I live in Hoboken and it was crazy trying to get out of there for work this morning. Traffic was a mess and they even closed the road that leads you into the town from the south end so NOE ONE was getting in.

I am NOT looking forward to the commute home.
