Can I study in Canada but act in NYC?

I want to do my musical theatre studies in Canada because its cheaper, but would I still be able to apply and audition in NYC?

Unless u have a green card or r an American no. If U r a Yankee who just wants to save $$, yes.

Pish tosh. Long as you don't say "sorry" or "eh" u can't be type cast.

Mind u- Canada's theatre schools  are  no  Royal Tampa Academy of Dramatic Tricks, but what is?

You can study in Dublin and work in Argentina.  It makes no difference if you're the real deal.
