I was disappointed with the curse elimination. Sucks? how can you take that out of the song, the rhyme? Can any of you guys tell me why that happened? 

The movie needs only to be better than the disaster "Les Miz", not a high bar for me.

I did not like this revival. The show was set in 1970 and didn't need changing.

Avenue Q was a great show, and the smile never left my face, but it had no business beating out Wicked. Much like The Book of Mormon, it is entertaining, but only once.

Growing up I never was a theater fan. We weren't introduced to musicals unless it was a movie. In my thirty's I saw Phantom and Rent, but it wasn't until I saw this show in a touring company that I became a hopeless fan. Thanks to Stephen Schwartz, and thanks to SJB, I have seen the very best of Broadway ever since.

I think Steph is 53 or 54. She can pull off 40 something. It would be a triumph for a career that started with the Wicked thing.

 

I think Stephanie would consider it her ultimate role. Ever since I watched this show I've been in love with it, and imagined her as Diana, it's just a hope, no disrespect to Levy, I preferred Alice and I saw her after she was burnt out on it. 

Just watched Levy's performance at the Olivier's and was not impressed. Please give us SJB.

She would be incredible.

When do we get to say we've overcome it?

As someone who has battled and overcome alcoholism first hand, I can testify that the portrayals and themes are spot on albeit maybe a little heavy handed at times.

 

Never understood the appeal of this show. What was any better or different than the movies, had the feeling the whole time I've seen this before and it was better.

This isn't the first time you people have belittled a lady because she was hot, remember Sarah Palin?

 

I'm a Stephanie Blockhead through and through. I never thought Cher had any talent or was interesting at all. I'm very happy that this angel of music won a Tony she deserved long ago and who should have been the original Elphaba. My wife saw this and said she was amazing, and I remembered all the great musicals she has been in. Keep it going angel of music.
