I helped kill my mothers Mac last night. What the hell is a kernal error?

I have a feeling she moved the wrong files to the external hard drive, and then deleted something in her OS, but she is not sure (I told her only to move over personal folders like pictures and documents).

Now I have to be nice and see if I can get her a work discount for a new one. The computer is over 7 years old, so it really was mercy killing, but alas, Mom's Mac, RIP.

My Mom called the dog "Shira" more often than "Keppie" Granted, Keppie was cuter, so it can't be a TOTAL insult, but still.

I just got elected to pick up some of the lottery tickets for our work pool for Friday. Don't they know that if I knew where to buy a winning ticket, I would have bought one for myself by now?!
