Monday's aren't so bad when it is a short week.

We are off Friday, and I am hoping closing early on Thursday. And then, I am taking off Monday and Tuesday next week because family is coming into town.

I am in the process of moving from an employer-based group insurance to an individual plan with Blue Shield. If I had had any hair left, it would have all been ripped out by now.

AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!

I just got off the phone with them. It's been approved, but because I have had prescriptions for two nasal sprays in the last 3 years - TWO NASAL SPRAYS! - they have bumped me up to a tier 3 risk, causing the monthly premium to go up 100 dollars a MONTH. I can appeal this, of course, but on MY time and while I'm paying the elevated amount!

Mind you, I have NO medical history - NONE - and fall within the optimum parameters for my height and weight (with blood tests to prove my complete health!)

I am SOOOOOO pissed I can't even breathe.

As I've just been told, this is bsically akin to dealing with Social Security (as an example,) where there's an immediate action demanding an appeal process. They depend on at least 50% of people just accepting the ruling and carrying on.

In other words, they do it because they can. And in the meantime, get more money.
