I will never watch SOPHIE'S CHOICE again. I'm glad I've seen it, and I do consider Meryl's performance one of the best ever on film - but I cannot put myself through that again. Ever.
Well, I only saw half of it - and I wanted to see the other half. After this, I have "Kramer Vs. Kramer" and "The Godfather".

Jeez, Shira, don't ya like comedies?!?
I have never watched Sophie's Choice.
oh but not funny enough to become your signature....i see how it is!!
totally joking by the way!
Cats have food and a new litter box, car has been washed, picked up random stuff at walmart, and visited mom. Not bad for a few hours. Off to take the pugs out and have dinner with a friend. Tonight? No idea yet, but probably something scandalous as always.
oh and hair check - at least 2 inches of outward spreading. I should document it sometime.
This is just what ended up on my Netflix queue for some reason! I'll watch something happy later, I think!

You - it's a great film - that takes your heart out through your throat. The climactic/iconic moment represents one of the most excruciating moments I've expreienced in a theater.
I think that is why I have not watched it - I heard it was wrenching to get through.
Day three of my new "lifestyle" and a detox diet. No wheat, no meat, no fish, only fruits, vegetables, brown rice and oatmeal for another 6 days.

You - good for you! Stay strong. After I get back from Colorado, I have to get back to our South Beach thing. I've been really lax while dealing with the non-smoking gig, but that excuse doesn't cut it anymore
Whoa. Good luck, YWIW.
DG - You'll do great.
I'm actually having a "screw it" eating day. A lot of sourdough bread and blueberries. But I'm also just feeding my body a lot of carbs so that it will have the immediate energy to fight this stupid bronchitis.
Actually, believe it or not, Shira is quite an inspiration.
Anyway, I can handle being the chubby one, but not the fat one. I have been asked to be on another panel in December, and am hoping by then to have lost a chunk of weight.
Something happened about four years ago (I think it was my dad's death and some medication) and the weight just went on me in a flash. Unfortunately, it will not come off that way!
And, congrats on the non-smoking. That is the most important, we want you around for a very long time!
BTW - still no luggage - alas.
What? Oh, thank you so much, YWIW. That means so much to me.
You can do whatever you set your mind to do, and we are all here to support you in any and all endeavors.
DG - Great on the non-smoking!!

Sorry about the luggage thing. That type of thing just amazes me - it has to be SOMEWHERE, for goodness sake! Why can't someone just say, "Oh, here it is" - and then get it to YOU!
Because, as we all know, people are complete idiots.

Present complany excepted, of course.
Most of the time.
DG - Present company excluded, naturally!
*twirls blonde hair*
Yes, if the door says "Pull", I automatically "Push".
Next bag I buy will be red or blue. These black wheelies are a drag when they are lost. I was at the airport today trying to see if they have it and the tag fell off. No luck.
I think they at least reimburse for the value. It is just a pain in the behind.
Off to do some errands. You two have a great Saturday.
I have a polka-dot bag. It's more fun.
Have fun with the errands, YWIW!

I would never have black luggage - it AMAZES me how they compromise about 7/8 of the luggage out there!
Have a great day.
And I'll avoid commenting on Shira being pushy . . .
It didn't even occur to me, but now that you mention it DG, it makes perfect sense!
What, Tink?
Cute, D2!
Choreographing South Pacific ... so much fun. Going to see a play tonight with friends.
That sounds lovely, DD!!
I'm on "Kramer vs Kramer". Heartbreaking so far. I'm loving it.
And my lovely roomie is bringing me soup and a tea biscuit as I become doped on cough syrup because its the only way I breathe sometimes. *grumbles*
D2, go right home. Do not pass go, do not collect $200, do not stop for a drinkie.
