I heard about the crane accident. Everyone present and accounted for?
I live and work on the west side. I saw the helicopters hovering from my window, though, just as the news broke on the radio. And then all manner of sirens as reinforcements were going over through the park.
I'm at work now, looking out the window to the new hotel construction down the block. Which seems to have halted...
I want to see a show. I really want to see August: Osage County.

Tinfoil...The Terrorizing Terminator
I just read about the crane accident...yikes.
I am taking my lil sis person in next saturday to see shows, but haven't decided what yet. She said she is up for anything and kinda excited to see something she isn't familiar with (ie Wicked, RENT, etc.) so I dunno. Really tempted to take her to see Sunday

I feel like I should try to see more shows in July, but it will cut into my busy socializing and drinking schedule.

Priorities, Shamey, priorities.
Can't be having it cut into your drinking, shames!

We're having yummy pupusas. One of our cooks is from El Salvador and today is her birthday she's made a fabul;ous El Salvadorean meal for her birthday celebration. Ole!
chicken pattys shamey with fries
"Pupusa (from Pipil pupusawa) is a thick, hand-made corn tortilla (made using masa de maíz, a maize flour dough used in Latin American cuisine) that is stuffed with one or more of the following: cheese (queso) (usually a soft Salvadoran cheese called Quesillo), fried pork rind (chicharrón), squash (ayote), refried beans (frijoles refritos), or queso con loroco (loroco is a vine flower bud from Central America). There is also the pupusa revuelta with mixed ingredients, such as queso (cheese), frijoles (beans), [1], and chicharrón or bacon."
Yeah, that sounds much better than my slim fast bar.

We were someplace recently that had a petting zoo. I don't like them, generally - they always make me feel a little sad. But I usually peek in, just to see if they're being well kept. This one had some of the most beautiful chickens I've ever seen - unbelievably colorful and extravagent plummage. They made me think of Kauai.

Sadly, DG, they make me think of lunch.
Shamey - ours had cheese, pork and salsa inside. She pan-fried them. I'm sure it was a Weight Watchers recipe.
Whatever, they sound delicious, Moony. It's Friday. Splurge. I won't tell.

Oh honey, I went ahead and splurged at 10:50am when they came out of the frying pan. No sense waiting for the lunch crowd.
I SO just got up an hour ago. So, who is bringing me lunch?

Pupusas are the best! I miss them so much.
we went to Baja Fresh where I ordered a salad that was too spicy for me and ended up just eating plain lettuce.

I knew you love them, DD, so I ate one for you.
One for you, one for me.
Always thoughtful, moony.
They have really good ones in DC. I miss "El Tamarindo."
