I can't WAIT to see it on the big screen!!
Q, that's a shame that he's going to uproot himself once again.
Someday I will get to this Artisanal place. Someday.

With our holiday mates arriving tomorrow, it's time to rationally decide what can get done and what can't.
Of course, even with all there is to do, we're still participating in the Christmas concert and then heading out to Silverlake for a fabulous annual holiday gathering.
I mean, we do have priorities
Hope all the easterners are staying warm, safe and dry!
And I'm more excited to see NINE now that D2 said he liked it.
Oh the pressure, the pressure!
I am itching to see it!!

I like your priorities, Q.
Q has his priorities right where they should be. Back from errands and TJs and now will relax and try to figure out which bottle of wine goes to which co-worker. All I know is the really nice one goes to the big boss!
I hope all of those on the East Coast are warm and toasty.
Warm and toasty for the moment, but that will soon change. Really need to get out there and clean off the car and around it. Could be worse.
That's the one thing I really need to do tomorrow. Get the boss a bottle of wine. Wine is his thing, so it's almost intimidating in a way, trying to figure out what to get.

I'll probably head to Whole Foods to pick up lunch/dinner for the plane. So far, it's flying.
Are my dear adults okay this morning? News services have been running footage of snow, snow and to top it all off, snow. Is everybody safe and warm?
No snow for me, Hep, but it is 51 degrees outside. That does make it feel more like holiday time.
Mornin!
Mornin'
Morning!
We got about 8 - 10" by me I think, but it was all soft and powdery so shoveling wasn't really an issue. But needless to say my holiday party consisted of only people that lived in my house and one other friend who crashed. There is a lot of left over food, but had a good time. At 1 am we went out and had an old fashioned snow ball fight and made snow angels, and well, felt like I was 10 again.
yesterday i did not move and watched The West Wing Season 2 all day. made it through 12 episodes! ahhhh, heaven.

Morning.
Shamey - it's only 51 degrees here, as well. But the sun isn't up yet, so it should warm up a bit shortly - which is good, because I don't enjoy the cold. I had to put on a sweatshirt last night to sit outside - that's just too much inconvenience for me!
Q, you're starting to sound like Shira.

I feel so badly for you peeps who are struggling in the 50s. Really, I do.
Soooo....we ended up with 21 inches. We cleared out both cars yesterday, but no one's driving anywhere this morning - the roads that were cleared yesterday are a solid sheet of ice today. Schools and (more importantly for me) administrative offices are closed. I hope it stays that way for the week. I'm going to try and venture out to do some shopping after things melt a bit later on.
So is everyone done with their holiday shopping?

Moony - it's nice to know you empathize with our suffering.
I take it back, Q - you're actually starting to sound more like Mr. Roxy.

Good grief - now THAT'S an insult!
So, Q, did your brother leave already? Is he leaving your mom a forwarding address?

He is moving out of his apartment, but he's got the use of a friend's guestroom for a couple of months - he's agreed to at least head the transition team for the new owners. After that, who knows.

Morning folks!
Q is a combo of Shira and Mr. Roxy?! Scary!!
Turns out I didn't have to do any snow removal, except off my car. When I went out to shovel around the car and clean it off, the woman next door told me to just take the snow off the car, then park it behind hers, and she'd have her son snowblow the new mess away. Bless her.
I bought this extended handle thing that has a spongey type pad at the end. That worked pretty good on getting most of the snow off the top of the car, except the luggage racks got in my way a bit.
I still have to get a gift card and a bottle of wine. And wrap. And box up the cookies I made for my brother during the storm and mail them. I think that's it. I hope it is, anyway.

Now I have to go to the store to get a few of the ingredients for peanut butter pie to bring for dessert on Christmas Eve, but the gift card is taken care of.
