Crap. Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap.
I just got off the phone with one of my former colleagues in advertising. We were an art director/copywriter team 20 years ago, and the most fun I ever had in that business was working with her.
She has inoperable brain cancer and is dying.
I worked with her for the last five years of her career before she retired and moved back to her home town of Chicago. We're going out to see her over Memorial Day weekend.
One of her memorable copy lines (written years before I knew her): "How does America spell cheese? K.R.A.F.T."

And it's a gorgeous day, too!
Happy Friday Adults. We skipped spring and hit summer - it is supposed to be 90 today.

Happy Weekend Adults. Date night with the Mrs. Oklahoma at the Lyric Opera.
Devastating suicide of a friend yesterday. Truly an awful time for some of my best friends in life!

'Morning!
Gray day here - rain tonight and throughout the next 2 - 3 days. No sun until Friday, which will make this a long, dreary week.
Of course it's also going to be cloudy and rainy in Singapore all week, too, but it will also be 90 degrees. Just asyin'...
G'morning.
Well, the New York production is cast. Seattle is next.
God, I love saying that.

I'm thrilled with the cast. One of the actresses lives in my building and I wanted her to audition -- she nailed it right out of the box. (She's never read the script, either.) I'm so relieved my director loved her.
I purposely chose a woman director for this piece, someone I'd worked with in the past (although she's never directed any of my plays before.) I love her work, and we're pretty much on the same page about almost everything. I'm looking forward to the next month.
Happy Dance for Deet.
I literally spent the weekend reinstalling my entire iTunes Library. Somehow I messed up my iTunes but good when I tried to migrate to my new computer. But, the new computer is up and running, and all is now good.
Refinance papers signed today, new computer finally customized, Magic Bed/Desk is in, now I just need to get caught up on my real work!
Have a great week adults!
