Morning Adults - Full day of meetings, and then sneaking out a bit early for dinner with friends.
Hep - my knees sympathize. As does my back (herniated disc from something, not quite sure what). Getting old sucks, but as Mooney says beats the other options!

Warm here, busy busy busy - deposition this afternoon.
Praying that C17 can escape high school without a math disaster!
I'm sitting in the last scheduled department meeting of the semester and it is absolutely grueling. The rehashing of old wounds, the fingre pointing, the lack of respect... it's a play!
But one good thing has come out of it: my request to not be on the new curriculum committee has been granted. Thank God.
G'morning.
This was our department meeting yesterday:

HAHAHA! That rings true on so many levels, Deet!
Following the tragedy at Newtown, there had been the suggestion by some that teachers and administrators be armed. In a letter to the Washington Post, one woman wrote, "Anyone who thinks it's a good idea to arm teachers and school administrators has clearly never attended at faculty meeting." Nuff said.
True dat. After a day like yesterday there wouldn't have been anyone to share hoogankaggels with, whether we wanted to or not.
The cows bring in a huge cake,
And D2 I think I have a idea for your next big show.
You should write a opera from the last kitchen nightmares ep.
EDITED COMMENT: Never mind. I just read the Amy Thread.
But I'm still going to defrost some steaks for dinner.
are you sure ,it has the makings of the next carmen. Drama, comedy,
And the writing the role of Amy would be a piece of resold cake, nothing but meows . It could...work
I watch Kitchen Nightmares on occasion, just to remind myself that I am not THAT crazy...
G'morning

'Morning.
Mom fell yesterday afternoon and is in the hospital "for observation". She's frail and has lost a lot of weight and her doctor is concerned that she's dehydrated and/or quasi-malnourished. Decisions that we've been putting off about her living situation are now staring us in the face. Her three children have three different ideas about her future and she herself is in deep denial.
And we thought raising kids was a challenge!

Mooney, good luck with that - I am pretty lucky - my mom is still very self sufficient, but realizes that in a couple of years she may not be able to manage her house anymore. She actually put a deposit down on a new assisted living center that will not be open for a few years, when she turns 80.

'Morning. Sitting in the waiting area of terninal B 24 at Reagan National airport. My flight southward (to the land of y'all) boards in 10 minutes. The nice thing - and only nice thing - about taking flights early in the day is that there are no delays yet. Hopefully my luck will hold in Atlanta.
Sigh, y'all.

G'morning
Thinking of you, Moony.
One more class, on Monday, but doing my preliminary grading now. Fun. Hehehehehehehehehe...
Sending good thoughts eastward.
I have to get in the car and go to work - and I just don't wanna.

Hope all is well down south!
C17's last day of high school - not a good year for Pre-Calc and NOT her best effort. Standard so degraded that we are praying for a D.
BOYS WEEKEND!!!!!!!
Moony, just reading back... sending big hugs. Keep us posted. XOXO
Hope the week treated you all well. I'm emerging from Upfront presentation hell. Now the 48 hour-long days begin... See you in August.
