I hope there are at least some fabulous client dinners sprinkled
in there, Addy. And, champagne, endless champers to get you through.
There WERE some fabulous meals. Of that, I cannot complain...
Ai Fiori and Cafe Boulud were spectacular.
Now I have to watch all of the show pilots. I'd rather sleep. (and probably will, while watching!) I'm bringing them to D'town with me, where I'll be spending the weekend.
Sis and Bro-in-law are coming up for a D'town weekend!
I'll wave to them! Cheers!
Hey, all. It has been a chilly, busy Monday. I'm walking around with a grin at the moment. I just bought myself an iPad with all the bells and whistles. Now, to download an app or six!
G'morning
"Now, to download an app or six!"
Be careful, Hep. Six very quickly turns to sixty, and before you know it you have appsbergers.
Hey ho!
What kind of apps have you downloaded? I have the mini, but haven't really downloaded much. BWW, Lottery, Words with Friends, Four Pics One Word, and I forget what else, but I know it's only a couple.

BWW, Facebook, Yelp, Final Draft (a scriptwriting app), some games, NYTimes, New York Magazine, etc...
I also have an Attendance app that comes in very handy with argumentative students at the end of the semester. It also allows me to take ID pics of the kids, which comes in very handy at the beginning of the semester. For the first time ever I knew all their names by the second class.

Deet - nice idea!
C17 PASSED MATH! Graduation this weekend.
Crappy Monday to all!
Happy Dance for C17!
7AM Call this morning, followed by another, and then another. Luckily I get to work from home today.
Happy Monday all.
Thanks for that app warning, Deet!
I finally broke down and bought an iPhone last Thursday.
I held out as long as I could... *sigh*
So, now I am trying to update, upgrade, sync and generally get my mac and ipad to work along with the newest member of my Apple family. (I am SO not a gadget girl!)
Have fun with the new iPad, Hep! Let us know if you stumble upon any really fabulous apps!
Late night greeting, adults!
Life is finally starting to settle down. Close The Temperamentals on Saturday and the next show is not until January. What am I going to do with all that time?
I hope everyone is doing well. Miss you!!! I need to figure out a way to work the system and score some time in NYC soon.
G'morning
Addy, one of my students is a tech wiz. If you need any help I can give you his number. He got me up and running in no time.
DD: I can think of a few things for you to do in July. And yes, you do.
Moony, I know you're probably not reading this but you're in my thoughts. A lot. <3
Morning adults!!
Moony - many hugs and best wishes being sent your way!
and then *hugs* to everyone else as well.

Hey, y'all! I'm back!
All in all, not a bad visit. We had a few really good (read: frank) conversations and Mom knows - and finally accepts! - that she will be in a wheelchair sooner rather than later. Her beloved home is not wheelchair accessable and she knows that as well. We explored assisted living options and at one point she was almost enthusiastic. This won't last, of course, but the seed has been planted and well-watered. I'm a lot more optimistic than I was last week.
Now to face all the emails and paperwork that piled up in my absence. Sigh.
A week before we had that conversation with my mom, J2 and I saw AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY. I have a feeling that my mom was a lot more like Violet than yours is, Moony (minus the pill popping; my mom was nasty, uhm, feisty naturally. )
Anyway, J2 and I almost choked on our Cokes when my mother was being recalcitrant and my sister (very gently) said "I'm in charge now."
It's so tough to go through.

It will be a toss-up for who will utter that line first - my sister or my brother. I'm just trying to stay out of the way and not become collateral damage.

Mooney - I hope all works out with not too much stress! My parents are happy in their space, but we are now worried that my dad might need too much care beyond the agreement of the facility!
My sister was in town last night, so nice to catch up!
Hugs to Moony.
Greetings to all.
Happy... what day is this?
