Morning all you funny, sexy people. I hope you're all well.

Things are good albeit topsy-turvy in my world lately. C. is off to DC for the month of June.

Jose - I loved reading through the 2005 picnic thread. My, my, my...how things have changed.

Going to my friend, Kathy's, funeral this morning so I'm trying to get stuff done early in the day. So far I've had coffee, a blueberry muffin, and checked in on FB and BWW. A most productive morning!

Well, there it is. It's open. They knew their lines. A lighting miscue effed up the twist at the end, and it didn't get the laughs ( actually, none of the plays got the laughs last night ) but it's up and running.

Today will be spent holed up in A/C, alternately playing with Max and working on GODDESS...

The woman I dug at the gym is now dating a guy who did 12 years for armed robbery and didn't tell her about it. She calls him "My Felon."

This other woman that I'm fond of is an actress, brought to some comped SAG play at City Center. When i told her to move a bit so the people coming down the street wouldn't bump into her, she said "I forgot that you were kind to people," in a tone as it were a charachter flaw.

It may be time to turn over a new leaf and commit a crime...

My Saturday morning is filled with waiting for the Air-Conditioning repairman, the cable guy and the GE appliance technician.

I will rejoice when I can use my AC!

What a week.

Tuesday dentist visit from hell, which brought on an 11 hour cold.

Thursday morning I went to turn on the A/C in the bedroom and the damn thing was blowing out hot air. Please. Like I don’t have enough hot air of my own!!

Then my cousin called to tell me her husband got backed into by a utility truck on his job site that morning. Scraped up pretty badly, slight fracture in his back, but not enough to warrant surgery. Has to heal on its own. When the truck was backing up, it had its’ tailgate down, and I guess the tailgate caught him in the back and he got knocked down and went under the truck. And a big OSHA boo boo, the truck didn’t have that alarm that signals when it’s backing up. Since trucks are outfitted with that from the beginning, this one obviously wasn’t working. A guy from Worker’s Comp showed up at the hospital on Friday and questioned him for over an hour. He’s supposed to be released from the hospital tomorrow, but we’ll see. It was going to be today, but they changed it yesterday.

Then late Thursday afternoon, I went over to my other cousin’s to picture take before her son went to his senior prom. Found out from her daughter that they had to put their beloved Wheaton Terrier, Tucker, down on Wednesday, and she told me not to say anything to my cousin. So here we are walking into the backyard, I get that news and now I’m trying to control myself, so I don’t upset my cousin. I LOVED that dog. He was such a good baby.

After that, I stopped at the store to buy a new A/C unit for the bedroom. Managed to get it in the house and together, but by then it was dark and the lighting in that room isn’t the best, and I decided in the interest of keeping the A/C in one piece and not fall out the window to install it on Friday, so I slept on the couch that night.

And today I’m back to 237 emails and an 80 degree office. Go me.

Wow, that was quite a week, girly! Best wishes for your cousin and family!

I avoided life at all costs this weekend. Other than seeing The Little Mermaid spontaneously on Sat afternoon and the gym, it was me and my couch all weekend. Kinda starting to remember why I enjoyed being a hermit for a while. So much so, I decided to work from home today. Bad Tink, but I am actually getting a lot of work done sooo.....

Quiet weekend on the left coast. Handyman/Plumber coming today, and I may end up taking the day off depending on how long he takes.

Stay dry everyone one, and Girly, I hope your A/C is back and running.

Next week this time I will be on a plane to Atlanta. The only upside is the corporate rate we got put us in the 4 Seasons.

I think that's the first time someone has slipped and called me by my real name. No biggie. Most folks here know it anyway.

New A/C got put in the window on Friday, and I got the old one out and already to the recycling place in town.

The office finally reachd a normal temp. It was horrible here this morning.
