Where has MT been lately?
SP78 - very funny!!!
Good afternoon adults. Busy days at work, looking forward to a 3-day weekend where I have no plans. None. At all.
Exciting yet a bit depressing, actually.

DD, with the kids in college and high school it seems we have lost our social structure and we often have no plans!

Steamy good morning to all who enter here!
G'morning.
Class this afternoon, class tomorrow afternoon, and then a full week off -- Labor day on Monday, Rosh Hashana next Thursday and Friday. I'm thrilled, of course, but it does seem rather, well, stupid, to start school and then disrupt the schedule with a bunch of closings. And since the following Friday is Yom Kippur, that class won't meet again until September 20. I won't be able to get the full Brodie going until October!
Good morning, kids. Packing the bag this morning and boy is it humid. I'm allowed up to three ounces of sweat, right?

We had a few steamy days then yesterday was mild. Hotter today.
High School football starts this weekend!!!!!
Morning peeps! I was a sweaty mess by the time I got to my buillding. It was nice to see others on the elevator with sweat balls on their heads. Yes,misery loves company.

Sweaty balls on their heads? You work in a bathhouse?
Brd, it sure felt that way this morning!

Not nearly that exciting.
Just got finished with an hour-long school assembly - in an un-air conditioned auditorium. I was on stage the whole time (it was my assembly) and the stage lights must have added 10 more degrees to the temperature. I am soaking wet - and not in a good way.
Moony, I'd hug you, but we may stick together. Oh wait that could be a good thing

I doubt many will come here this morning. So many peeps are making this a 4 day weekend. SOMMS even left the state! We have a half day here, but we need a "come to Jesus" meeting with the Seniors, which has the potential of turning nasty. Well, nastier. They're already nasty to the poor Freshmen.
Morning peeps! Full day for me today. I leave my state every morning, but return every night

It's a commuter's world out there, Boobs.
It is Moony and I have to deal with every idiot. The evening commute is always the most fun. The fights and arguments that occur while standing on line are very entertaining.

Wow - what a great idea for a new Deet play! An entire play that takes place while standing in line, waiting for the evening bus. Oh - and Act 1 could be the line for the morning commute and Act 2 could be the evening commute. We'd see the effect that transactions throughout the work day have taken on commuters' personalities and how that plays out in the line. Then the bus arrives, everyone gets on, curtain down.
Great idea! The other night it started with a woman telling a guy he needs to go to the back of the line. I looked and there were only about 6 people on the line. They guy told her he was standing with his "husband" who's been standing there even when the last bus pulled away. He told her if her husband came she would make him stand with her. She arugued that she would not! He would have to go to the back of the line. The guy told her that she would not. He then told her that it didn't matter anyway being everyone will get a seat and either way he's going to sit with his husband no matter where he stands in line. He told her nothing will change so stop complaining. The next thing she's on the phone telling someone about the "assh*le* cutting the line. The the "husband" gets involved saying that they can hear her. Which she replies, "you damn liberals think you can do whatever you want!" At this point the bus driver is walking by returning from the mens room. She stops him and points the guy and squeals to the driver that he cuts the line every night!!! I couldn;t hear what the driver said to the guys, but he gave the woman and thumbs up and got on the bus. As people were piling in one guy turns to me and says "every night there's a fight. All is want to do is go home to my kids. Now this will continue on the bus!" Us poor innocent commuters.

Now see? It can technically be about "cutting in line" but it's REALLY about all sorts of other issues that play themselves out.
EXACTLY! The ugly truth always come out as the dispute continues.

Where's Deet? These scenes practically write themselves.

Happy third day of the three day weekend!
Welcome back to those who've been out of town on a vacation break! (we want to see pictures)
We went to see a friend's paintings at a local art show this weekend. I'm returning today to buy one of his prints as a birthday gift for hubby. But there's also this original work by another artist that has just captivated me. It's adorned with a steep price tag, and yet....
...stay tuned.
Good morning, kids! Only one piece of mail and 10 emails. Yay!
Four more days until my next vacation!
