Yep, there is just about enough room with the tree sitting outside. But it is a pretty big project - they have to reinforce the beams in the office, and the like. But, I would put the BBQ up there, and it would add value/space to the place. And, would be great to relax and watch the puppy parade go by.

5 scenes into the new one I hadn't even planned on writing. Good feedback again last night from my writers group.

I have so many other things I should be attending to but...

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

Good morning peeps! Please send good vibes to HC today. He is going through lots of issues at work. The final straw came yesterday when he found out everyone in his department got a bonus except him. They have been treating him unfairly for the past 2 years and he must do something about it now. He was supposed to get his review last Septemeber which usually comes with a raise. Well his boss keeps coming up with excuses. When he confronted her last week she said, "right now no one is getting raises because of 'budget issues'" Funny that even with "budget issues" everyone got a bonus. They also lied about that. He was told that no one in HR gets bonuses because "we're HR". How stupid are they? He has access to all payroll records being he does payroll. The bonuses were paid out by the payroll department and that why he didn't know until someone told him. Did I mention that he's te only "man of color" in the department? He NEVER even brought that fact up because he doesn't see color, but this time it seems obvious. My blood was boiling last night when I found all of this out. I spoke with a friend who gave me the number to her employment attorney. Hopefully there's a case here and we can put an end to his misery of dealing with these idiots! He is so depressed over this, so please send him good vibes today that this can all get resolved to his advantage.

I also have a great attorney -- she negotiated J2's new contract, as well as some stuff I had to deal with at school with that batSH*T former chair.

And she's a "woman of color."

Thanks, Deet! If this guy doesn't work out I will contact you. I know I can always count on my Framily for love & support. HC is such a great employee. He has never been written up. He's only been praised. He should not be going through this. Not for all the blood, sweat and tears he gives this company for the peanuts he is making.

BTW my company no longer allows "domestic partners" to be added to our health insurance benefits. Now that NY allows gay marriage you must be married to have this privlidge.

Deet, I spoke to HR yesterday before I even knew any of this was going on. I fear that HC was going to walk out after all he is going through and now this. I figured I'd check about domestic partnershiop being I knew they offered it. Policy changed when gay marriage was accepted. I told them, but I live in NJ. Doesn;t matter. I work in NYC.

Include a recording of "Hello, Dolly!" with the soap. The one she recorded when she was 75, that plays at half-speed and takes twice as long to listen to. If you can listen to it at all.

The weather here has turned in NY in July. Very hot and very humid. Ugg - so clad I got the furnace/cooling thingy fixed.

Thanks to Labor Day and the Jewish Holidays I had no classes this week. Back to the grind on Monday, though, and except for Yom Kippur next Friday, no more holidays until Thanksgiving.
