This has been a trying week. In middle of negotiations and ALL parties are miserable!!!! My client is quite unpleasant.

Run in with the biggest asshole attorney I have ever met earlier in the week.

I just got back from voting -- for some reason they brought back the old fashioned lever-operated booths and you'd think the world was ending from the confusion. It was like these people had never, ever seen one before (like, maybe, two election cycles ago...) and it was one hilarious clusterF*CK.

Especially the man who went into the booth right before J2. He was in there for nearly 10 minutes, and when he came out he riffed about how difficult the whole experience was for him.

"It's the words, man, the words. Can't see 'em. Should be white on a black background, couldn't defrenchiate between 'em... defrenchiate, man, defrenchiate. It's french for can't tell anything apart from anything else."

And when he started on the weather and his "po'table deevice" which "tells ya everything" I was having a difficult time not laughing out loud, but the tears streaming down my face gave me away. Comedy gold.

Deet, that's hysterical! Jersey has never strayed away from those booths.
BTW, HC tried last night calling your attorney with no luck. He's going to try again today. It seems the one my friend suggested wanted to take his case, but he doesn't practice in NJ. The guy he refered him to doesn't want the case. He says that bonus' are discretionary. Which we understand, but how is it that everyone of the staff got one, but him? Plus there are many other issues to look at. the bonus is the straw that has broke the black man's back. I'm really pissed that his boss' bonus was $5000 more than HC's yearly salary. WTF?

The only folks that work 9-5 in my office are those who are not exempt (i.e., you actually have to pay them for their time). The rest of us, 9.5-10 hour days are the norm (and sometimes more).

BB - that really sucks! I generally work 8-5 but often do weekends and also evenings at home when necessary. I just want to make it clear that I now believe I hate that old man here who will not retire! Narcissistic ass!
