Hey, all. It's a quiet Saturday morn down here. Just the melodious banging and crashing from the construction site next door to compete with the the birdies.
Be quiet D2. You know we're all lunatics.
Guess I'll be posting to myself today.

Brd is so excited about being in the office that he double-posted!
Morning! Posting from the warmth and comfort of my home. Puttering around the house today. Bracing myself for the cold (sub-freeziung) front that is on its way. Brrrr!

That was actually a BWW error.
I see that friends posted at 4 am setting out for the Inauguration!

Yes, my daughter had to work today and her office is two blocks west of the White House. She was planning on taking the subway @ 4:30am in order to avoid the crowds and get inside the office building before the throngs descend. I should call her and see how her commute was.
G'morning.
Posting from the gym, post swim. I'm waiting for J2 to finish showering and changing, then off for coffee and, wait for it (this is so exciting) STAPLES!!!
I slept in, started a load of laundry and am getting ready to watch last nights Downton over coffee. Yay for days off.

My mother just discovered Downton and loves it. We have the cookbook.
Mooney - does she have any view of the parade?
Broadway Legend Joined: 12/28/04
Brd - no, she's on the west side of the WH. The parade ends before it gets to her block. Also, she looks out over K Street, not Pennsylvania Ave.
There's a Downton cookbook?
Wait, why am I surprised? The British have always been known for their culinary expertise...

BTW, I heard finally heard from BritTwit last night. If his reply wasn't so hilariously convoluted and delusional, it would be downright pathetic.
But basically he wishes me well and blames my "incomprehensible" behavior for our "estrangement."
Yes, because prior to my surgery I was in such good spirits and just absolutely giddy with every painful step I took I was happy to run around town doing his bidding.

There seriously is a book, we have had the spinach salad about 10 times since Christmas.
Mooney - many years ago I worked at 16th and P and would walk down to K to get egg salad.
D2- sounds like good riddance!
British Culinary Arts. Yep, right up there with British Dental Arts.
But, seriously, Brd is correct. I saw said book down here before Christmas. I believe it was quite popular, too
Brd, when I lived in DC many Moony's ago (she knows what I mean), I lived at 15th and P.

Right down the street toward Logan. I had a lot of downtime on the weekends and loved exploring DC.
Is it weird that I come to the OT board first thing each day, scan the thread titles and then this thread to see if anything happened in the world overnight that I should concern myself with?
Happy Tuesday, you gorgeous people.
Why go on vacation when I have to spend so much time preparing for it?
Oh yeah ... 90 degree weather at the beach.
Good morning, popsicles. Stay warm!

'Moring - brrrrr!
I don't care where you live - 18 degrees is damn cold! Costa Rica is lokking better and better.
I did absolutely nothing yesterday. Well, other than watch TV and scrape marinara sauce off the ceiling.
Morning peeps! Nice and brisk out there this morning. Great way to wake you up for work. Moony, it sounds like you and I had the same day yesterday. The menagerie was very happy to have daddy on the couch with them all day. I did get up to make dinner for HC when he got home from work. Spaghetti with oil & garlic. Very quick and easy

Oil and garlic would have been easier to clean off the cieling, too.
