I have never had the heart to get rid of either. 10 years or so ago I joined a flute choir, and who knows, I might do it again. The flute needs to be overhauled - its pads are a bit done.
True story - when I had the callback to the Jr. Phil, I had broken two fingers playing varsity softball. Le sigh...

Hi friends.
I got a note from our old friend "KMF_NYC" on Monday that his former life partner (who he lived with when he was a part of the BWW community and Smoking thread regular) died suddenly on Monday.
While KMF (Kevin) and Jeffery split a couple of years ago (for a variety of reasons), they remained close and in eachother's lives, as people who have shared a profound part of life together do.
Jeffery was a brilliant man - a composer and recent author, who was writing on Facebook just this past Sunday evening about how excited he was to start his book tour.
I spent time, including a weekend away, with him and he was a really special guy.
He apparently had a heart attack on his way to work on Monday morning. At least he didn't suffer. But, he was cheated. Oh, how he was cheated.
Kevin posted a beautiful tribute to him on Facebook. I'm going to try to link it here, although I have no idea if you'll be able to see it, as privacy controls there are so screwy.
Just wanted you to know, because Kevin was a special part of many of our lives for a few years.

This was Jeffery's 'Author Page'
He was a brilliantly creative man. And he had a good soul. He loved Kevin dearly.

Wow.
What a shame. Please pass on my condolences.
Um, Moony? Found out two of my cousin's kids, well one early 30's and the other 25 have major crushes on Ian. Huge fans of the show. What're the chances his mom has a couple autographed headshots laying around? Made out to Michelle and Theresa? LOL!!

I happen to know that he's out of headshots. He needs some new ones done, anyway. The one he was using was at least 3 years ago and his face has changed alot since then. I usually see him this time of year because his mom's birthday was yesterday and, in the past, he's come home for a long weekend around the date. This year, however, they're still filming, so no go.
Can't remember if I told you this (excuse me if I did) but couple of years ago a rumor went through the then-freshman class here that I was his GRANDMOTHER. When I told him, he started calling me grandma. Then one day an envelop came for me. Inside was an autographed headshot - thanking me for being such a good grandmother and always being there for him. Real funny kid.
My condolences to you and your family as well Think. Sorry for your loss.

ARGO is one exciting film for sure.
THE IMPOSSIBLE is one I wouldn't recommend EVEN-THOUGH it is well written, acted and directed. My stomach was knotted and I kept avoiding the screen, and I had tears in my eyes at time as well. Too gut wrenching to suggest anyone see it.
Morning peeps! I can't stop sneezing all morning. My sinus' are going bonkers. There must be a big storm brewing! My nose knows!
Addy, please pass along my condolences to Kevin too. So sad. It seems to be a constant reminder of how short life is and we should live each day as if it's our last.
Dzien dobry!!
No sneezies here! Thank goodness.
Moony, I don't remember if you mentioned that before, but that's hilarious!! So, if/when you hear of new shots being taken...keep me (my cousins) in mind.

G'morning.
Yep, that's it.
Moony, let me know too. I will have to add his headshot to my "To John" headshot portfolio. It's becoming quite a collection. Remind me to show you the next time you're over.

I thought that too, Moony!
I am going to attempt to make my mom's swedish meatballs. I even remembered to buy egg noodles! Keeping my fingers crossed they turn out okay.
