Tink, my deepest condolences. I am so very sorry.
*hugs*
Hold onto that last memory of watching his favorite show together. It will bring you much comfort.
Greetings to all on this yucky Monday morning. It would have been such a delight to stay in bed...

Thank you, Carlos!
So how was everyone's weekend other than shoveling or injuring themselves? Any fun plans for the week?
Hey, Carlos! I would have sent you a PM, but, you don't, you know, accept 'em.
Not reading the Downton thread is driving me crazy. One more week, and I'll be able to go in and see what everyone's been saying.

No, people were commenting in it while it was airing in the UK. I remain blissfully (for one more week) spoiler free of what happens. I even hid folks on FB when they were talking about it, since they were watching the eps online while it aired over there.

two weeks, I thought. Season finale next week but then we still have "Christmas episode" right? Or are they the same this time?
I was not expecting last night to be a 2 hour event, so it was a very pleasant surprise until I realized that means it's over that much sooner
Hi everyone.
My condolences Tink. When a family member is gravely ill one's individual mash-up of concern, relief and sadness can be difficult to navigate. You're fortunate to have an extended circle of family and friends. Best wishes.
Downtown Abbey, I too have stayed clear of exposing myself to Season 3, until my disc arrives later this week. I can get it via streaming but want to own the disc so I've held off.
Carlos, I was sorry to read about your loss of music on the external HD. I know how maddening it is to lose data, and especially music which requires so much time to catalogue. Do you have plans to replace everything?
Glad to read that the sun will come out (in NYC) tomorrow.
Hi Jose, right now I'm looking into taking the drive to a data retrieval service. Two board members were very kind and referred me to two reputable ones. Hopefully what's on there is salvageable and I won't have to replace anything.
But...if the data is not salvageable I would only consider replacing the music that is most important to me. There is no way I am going to be able to replace all the music that I have collected since I was 19 years old...there's just no way...it's too much work and too much $$$$.

But, do you have similar taste in porn?
Curtis Holbrook, who starred as the Frog in the recent production of Charlie's musical FROG KISS, made this parody video with the other cast members. It's been published on BWW and YouTube. It's cute.

Carlos, I echo Dame's comments regarding re-establishing your collection. I had a flash drive fail on my in the last months and that was truly a bother. I know use Apple's Time Capsule for on-going full back-ups and all my iTunes sit on an external 500GB HD. If I can help let me know.
