My niece just sent me a text: "Don't forget to pick up a tube of Mint Chapstick to hold under your nose."
Smart girl.

Bon voyage, Deet. Bring packs of gum, too...
And, very smart idea about the mint chapstik!
Everything is moving along, Boobs. Some things we've had to modify, but that's to be expected. I kind of feel like it's all out of my control at this point. I have faith my design and renovation/construction team will deliver!
I need to make a Dr. appointment! I fainted the other day - for no reason. Out of the blue felt the room spin, and then got sick. (I'm sporting a large bruise on the bridge of my nose, and dark circles under my eyes - thank goodness for makeup!). So, I figure it's my body's way of telling me to stop and pay attention to myself. Just have to find time on the schedule.
Meetings, meetings, meetings. I was at a network development meeting yesterday, hearing about what is in the works for next season. Alot of comedy development. The process appears to be farther ahead than last year this time, as they already have cast commitments and have started to film some pilots.
I just can't believe it's this time of year again.
Happy work days to all and safe travels, Deet. I look forward to hearing about it and seeing photos!
Good morning people!
Safe travels D2!
Glad your project is nearing completion Addy...but please take care of yourself. Thank God that fall wasn't much worse. I am guilty myself of keeping late office hours to the detriment of everything else going on in my life...sometimes we need to slow down and ease the grip...I am working on this myself.
Just got in the office to a ton of e-mail and the phone is ringing off the hook already!
Wishing everyone a Blessed and Happy Tuesday!
Addy - get thy butt to the DR ASAP!!!! not something to mess around with. Did you happen to notice that day if you had eaten recently?
We are in the process of booking our now annual "After Upfronts" vacation. Last year was Boston and this year looks like Nashville. My friend left last week for about a month bouncing around various pilot shoots. She keeps me posted all day and I find it all fascinating, but also see how tiring and aggravating it all is.

Addy, get ye to the doctor ASAP. Our health is priority. Without health we are useless. *hugs*

Safe travels Deet. Get thee to a Dr. Addy.
It is snowing fierce here in CR.

Happy (dreary) Hump Day!
Good morning!
what a drip of a day.
G'morning.
It's nearly 10:00pm here in Delhi. We got in without incident, went right to the hotel, showered and fell asleep. Just ordered room service and then back to sleep. Flying to Chandigarh tomorrow morning - a 45 minute flight. That's nothing now.
After that long-ass flight here I will never b!tch about cross-country travel again.
Since our hotel for the night is near the airport we really haven't seen much. The view from our room is of a manicured (astroturf) garden, and beyond the wall: crumbling, filthy tenements.
Just like New York: Great wealth jammed up against tremendous poverty.
We'll be in Chandigarh tomorrow and Friday, then back to Delhi for Saturday, Sunday and Monday, flying home on Tuesday. I think we're going to the Taj Mahal (the real one) on Sunday.
Okay, I'm exhausted.
'later.
Oh, and Addy: don't "fit it in." GO. TO. THE. DOCTOR. NOW. You're too precious to lose.

Busy trip!
Dreary here, but above freezing. C19 is driving in today!
Appointment made. I promise.
Don't have anything to add - just stopping by.
Good girl!!
Reached a new level of training last night (doing different arm circuit weight training while simulateously riding a stationary bike at different levels for 30 minutes without stopping - all after already doing 40 minutes on the stepper). I thought I had reached the definition of sore before, but this proves oh no, I hadn't even scratched the surface.
I've had them move meetings to the conference room near me today cause stairs ain't happening.
D2, my very first plane ride was to India back in 1980 (choir trip). I couldn't wait to get off that plane when we landed.
Addy, glad to hear you made a doctor's appointment.
Home again Home again - jiggidy jig.
Flew out of Cedar Rapids after a pretty good storm. I got to see snow - a treat for me!
Have a great Thursday Adults. Off to bed.
Okay, if Chandigarh is supposed to be "the city beautiful," someone's standards are off by about 1,000 miles.
Although the hotel is gorgeous, and the view of the Himalayas from the rooftop pool deck is spectacular!
So far I'm fascinated by everything. As Mrs. Moore says in "A Passage to India," it's all a "muddle." The contradictions, even from my very limited time and experience here, are extraordinary. The people are lovely, generous, and friendly while at the same time they have absolutely no boundaries or sense of personal space. No question is too personal, there is no such thing as being too close to anyone. They also do not travel lightly -- even on the short (25 minutes) flight today, people were traveling with 4 or 5, sometimes 6 pieces of luggage, and I saw two men picking up two 32' flat screen Sonys at the baggage claim.
My two favorite things so far:
Just before the plane left the gate at JFK on Tuesday, a steward raced down the aisle spraying air freshener (repeated halfway through the flight and again just before we landed.) There was something endearing and enchanting about that. And no, the plane did not smell bad. A few of the passengers... well that's another story.
And when we checked into the hotel here in Chandigarh earlier, the man at the front desk was very contrite that our room only had a double bed; he hoped we didn't mind but if we wanted he'd try to find us a room with two singles. It was all I could do not to laugh out loud. We said it was fine.
Just dropping in to wish everyone a Happy Thursday as I start my day with a nice cup of coffee and a bowl of Apple Jacks!
Good morning to you all!
Morning peeps! A very Happy Birthday to my BFF!

Pal Joey? Oh...the other BFF.
'Morning! Looking froward to seeing Deet's photos from his trip. I'll never get to India myself, so i have to live through him (again).
Hilo.
Reading his FB posts, I'm picturing The Best Exotic Marigold movie. With all the people, disregard for traffic rules, etc.
