Q, I could see the Eclipse freaks from my office window. I was really weird watching the Lakers parade with an Eclipse shanty town next to it.

I must admit...I am a Twighlight fan. I read all the books in a week that is how much I got into them. Give me a vampire any day of the week! I wonder if it has anything to do with the sucking? Hmmmmm

Boobs, I read all of the books as well. They were mindless fun and I enjoyed them for what they were. The movies - the first one was just pretty terrible. It had to be one of the worst pieces of dreck I have ever seen. I have not ventured any farther.

YWIW, sometimes it's fun to watch dreck I haven't seen any of them in the movie theater...I just wait for the DVD to come out. I avoid crowds as much as possible.

...also loved reading the Twilight series of books. But haven't seen any of the movies. May have to do a marathon one weekend.

Can't wait for the new Harry Potter movie! And love the look of the Theme Park at Universal Studios!

I thought the first movie was ok as a guilty pleasure, the second one was just...bad...but I still watch it. I love the books in a shameful way.

Tink, the True Love books are a lot of fun. They get a bit redundant, but are a nice diversion.

Still, nothing can compare (at least to me) to the first few Anne Rice novels.

Just to be clear, I have NO issue with the people who are enjoying the Twilight phenomenon - my issue is with the almost complete media saturation that we're experiencing, at least out here where we are. Every media type and every business is finding a way to tap into the momentum, and it feels like drowning.

Q, I totally understand what you're saying. I felt the same way with the RENTheads...I guess I was an original RENThead before the sensation started....then I backed off. At least I can tease them by admitting I had seen the original cast at least 12 times and most of those times sat in the 1st row...and when I got my poster signed by them my friends and I were the only ones there...we had a nice chat with each and everyone of them privately....nanananananana

I got as far as loading the CD in iTunes last night, but never got the pod updated, so I brought the CD in today. Peeps, here, wanted to see the goody's anyway, so I brought the whole thing in.
