I'm likin' it so far! Figuring it out slowly, but surely.
And the vibrate is on...I like it! LOL!

So I saw my best friend from college daughter's production of "Grease" last night. She played Sandy and was wonderful...that's the best I could say for this production. It was FLAT...how can someone make "Grease" flat??? This director should not be directing!!! I was so glad that her son told me he worked with this director before and she sucks!!! Well this production proved that. The car wasn't even on the stage...it was on the side of the stage on the floor and so when they sang about or were in it you couldn't even see it. I'd rather than on the stage and me imagine the care was there. Oh yea she changed the words to "The chicks will dream about Greased Lightning" WTF???? Rizzo can talk about missing her period, but don't say "cream"

Good grief - THAT'S what that lyric is?
*blushes*
They change the lyric every time Grease airs on TV, so that doesn't bother me, but to not have a car on stage is just dumb.
It was ridiculous!!! Teen Angel was this tall stragley kid who came out wearing these ridiculously way too big set of wings. They kept hitting the girl back up singers in the head. Then his last note which should be falsetto he does an octave lower then the rest of the song. I almost LOL, but I was well behaved. It is sad when "Freddy, My Love" and "Mooning" are the best numbers in the show.
BD, Chris played Danny his senior year of high school. He was pretty good. Thought he was all that and more! LOL!

Last full day on board. The sun is burning through the haze, the temperature is 70 degrees and the sea is very calm. Lots of deck time today, I think. After I get that snotty sales girl in the gift shop fired.

HA! - enjoy - and I mean the deck, not the firing.
Oh, enjoy that, too
How do you get fired at sea? Go to your cabin and DO NOT WORK! Sounds like hell.

Hi.
Just stopping by to say I hope everyone had a happy weekend.
I had a lovely reunion with some old and dear friends... we all used to work at the same summer camp when we were in high school, and have remained close friends ever since... a very long time! We've started having at least one reunion a year, and I cherish them.
Have tomorrow off to tend to some long-neglected chores and errands. And perhaps a bit of sleep.
Wishing everyone a shiny, happy new week!

Thanks, Q!
Wish I had something more festive planned than errands and chores... but I'm looking forward to getting some things done. And I plan to indulge in a nap.
Thrilling, no?
(You know you're a grown-up when: a day off for errands and a nap is considered a happy indulgence!)

I would think, considering how life has been lately, that it would be the perfect day.
Ok, maybe doing chores and napping on the Amalfi Coast would be a little more perfect, but NYC isn't bad
You're right. Being able to schedule time for myself, and take care of 'stuff' actually makes me happy.
But, oh, the Amalfi Coast... *sigh*
But, I DO have plans to look forward to at the end of August. A different coast: The Dalmatian. Cruise from Athens to Venice...
And I CAN'T WAIT!
...except I keep singing Liza Minnelli's "Ring Them Bells" whenever I think about visiting Dubrovnik! Which makes me even more excited...
*rings bells*
Addy, that's one of my favorite songs, EVER. Oh, and the cruise sounds lovely.
Look at all our adult sailors.
There was no one on board who even remotely resembled ^^^.
The ship is now docking, and we should be disembarking around 9:30. I'll miss this, but it is good to be home.
And you have been missed! :)
Morning all! Happy Monday.
A horrible thunderstorm errupted just as I was getting to work, so now I am drenched. Fun Fun. Oh well, I didn't melt.
Good morning, all! Welcome back Deetie and J2!
Came back to find that a coworker was tragically killed by a drunk driver in front of our office building. He hit her so hard that the car went through the building pinning her. So sad and awful.
OMG, SOMMS, that is horrible!!!

Oh my God, SOMMS - how horrible! When did this happen?
Morning peeps! Poddie, how devastating. I just don't get how people can drink and think it's a good idea to get behind the wheel of a car. I'm afraid to get behind the wheel if I feel sleepy let alone drunk. This guy now ruined his life and the life of an innocent person and her family. WTF?
