Oh Moony, how horrifying. I'm keeping you and them in my prayers.
In other things airline-related, I've been on a couple of flights with that JetBlue flight attendant. Once he was dealing with a very obnoxious passenger while trying to get the plane ready to leave the gate, and he looked at me and rolled his eyes.

Tink - Shira has met my mom and it was an interesting experience. My mom is a freaking force of nature.
And FYI, for those missing Q, he is on his semi-regular technology sabbatical - so all is relatively well.

Thanks for the prayers and good thoughts - though I didn't know the man or his sons (Hubby knew them fairly well). I'm glad there appear to be survivors. Poor Ted Stevens - this is his second plane crash in Alaska. The one in the late 70's (1978?) spared him but killed his wife.
And, yes, I do think about these things when I board a plane. Hence my deep, abiding relationship with Amtrak.
